Q: Is there a trick to getting the microwave to heat? Mine runs but heats nothing.
A: Mary, I am not sure which one of us is the lucky one. You have had yours for 9 months and it has not worked. And I have been waiting for mine to be delivered for 10 months now. It has been scheduled for delivery 4 or 5 times, and they never contact me to let me know it will not be delivered. I simply have sat home on those occassions only to call them and find out it was not coming. Best Buy has not been honest with me, and after 10 months of intolerable falsehoods I finally cancelled my order today. So I find myself now 10 months later to be looking again for an appliance I needed, and paid for, 10 months ago. Good luck getting Bestbuy to respond to you. It took me 2 or 3 tries to get someone to communicate with me each time I needed to, and never, ever received any completion on any inquiry I made. They just kept kicking the can down the road. I will never ever purchase anything from Best Buy again. In my opinion and based on my experience, they are nothing but a sales house, and care nothing for customers who spend their hard earned money with them. Sorry to hear of your bad experience as well.

Code error
I am very disappointed with the Thermador brand, since we installed the microwave oven unit we have not been able to use the oven because when you set up to 400 degrees the oven unit overheats and gives an error code that does not allow you to continue using it. Calling customer services is a nightmare and when you get them to send a technician, they have no idea what is wrong with the oven and therefore do not solve the problem. We have already been visited by 2 different specialists 3 times in 3 months and we are still waiting for them to solve the error. Furthermore, the microwave turns off after each use and it takes at least 5 seconds to operate it before you can press the power button. I definitely do not recommend this particular equipment, it is incredible that it costs so much money and malfunctions from the first use.

The unit is beautiful and work excellent. Unfortunately the microwave, which is the appliance that is most like use often shuts off after every use and you need to press the buttons around 5-6 times to get where you want to get, while beeping extremely loud every single time you use it . The oven which it gets use maybe once a month is ready at once click. Also do not let the 3rd party bestbuy installers near your house . They are useless
