Drop the Hammer!
THOR is a God of Cooktops! We looked in stores and online for a 36" replacement to our cooktop that cracked due to a dropped item. It remained usable as it was cracked below the control knobs and that didn't interfere with the overall operation--but we needed to replace it and it must have been at least 15 years old. We almost purchased 2 other options, but we weren't in a hurry and kept looking for the BEST option. This THOR unit has a few MUST HAVE's. A bridge for the dual cooking and digital controls--no knobs allowed! It also has a Triple element in the center burner--which is also located so conveniently in the center! I installed it myself (fairly easily-although I did need to shave 1/4 inch off of the opening), and was very pleased with the operation! The burners are POWERFUL and heat up quickly. The built-in timer is a GREAT addition because I'm usually using the oven and the microwave timers for other items. This THOR product ALSO happened to be just about HALF the price of most of the other 36" cooktops we looked at and I couldn't be happier with the performance of this unit even if I had paid double the price. Way to go THOR! Hammer drop...
