About this product
Show Business, Baby, is Tom Heyman's pub-rock magnum opus. The veteran singer/songwriter, multi instrumentalist and sideman (Chuck Prophet, Alejandro Escovedo, Sonny Smith, Hiss Golden Messenger,...) delved deep into his record collection to conjure the spirit of the artists he loved as a young man such as Rockpile, NRBQ, The Flamin' Groovies, and Mink DeVille. Steeped in Rock and Roll, Garage Rock, and R&B the record is full of short sharp songs, barbed guitar solos and liberally unselfconscious boogie. Love (lost, found and begged for), work, drinking and getting older are all covered with a sly grin, and a great big beat. Dig it.

2024 . In 2013, a New Zealand teenager named Daniel Johann Lines quietly uploaded his debut album, melanchole, to Bandcamp under the moniker Salvia Palth. The LP was a homespun collection full of vulnerable, self-recorded songs about the overwhelming messiness that comes from growing up and figuring out who you are. Despite modest intentions, the record resonated profoundly with millions on platforms like Tumblr and Youtube, maintaining momentum through the TikTok and streaming era. Menchole remains a wildly influential lo-fi , a moving portrait of youth in turmoil. Over a decade later, Lines returns to the project with a new full-length titled Inchlast chance to seeInch. Out February 16 via Danger Collective Records, the now 27-year-old musician offers his most fully formed and ambitious effort yet. #last chance to see is not only a complete artistic reinvention but one that gracefully closes the chapter on a formative period of the songwriter's life. His decision to revisit the Salvia Palth moniker is intentional and integral to the album.
![Wilhelm Furtwangler - Beethoven: The 9 Symphonies - SUPER-AUDIO CD [Super Audio CD (SACD)]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/4e2b42e4-2f44-4010-adb5-0b6d1930c90b.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
Beethoven was Wilhelm Furtwängler's guiding musical force. In his interpretations of the symphonies, the conductor generates irresistible dramatic momentum - and a constant sense of imaginative freshness - through the interrelationship of form, harmony, texture, rhythm and tempo. These recordings, all made in the late 1940s and early 1950s, in the Musikverein in Vienna and at concerts in London, Bayreuth and Stockholm, have been remastered in 192kHz/24-bit at Art & Son Studio (in 2021 for the 7 recordings included in The Complete Wilhelm Furtwängler on Records and newly for this edition for the 3 other ones), bringing their sound more alive than ever before and for the first time here on a physical medium. As a bonus the 5th Symphony live performance from 1950 in Copenhagen restored in HD from an excellent condition analogue source has been added.

Vinyl LP pressing. 2020 . InchChange is inevitable if you're lucky,Inch says guitarist/vocalist Alex Edkins while talking about Atlas Vending, the fourth full-length album by Toronto's METZ. InchOur goal is to remain in flux, to grow in a natural and gradual way. We've always been wary to not overthink or intellectualize the music we love but also not satisfied until we've accomplished something that pushes us forward.Inch The music made by Edkins and his compatriots Hayden Menzies (drums) and Chris Slorach (bass) has always been a little difficult to pin down. Their earliest recordings contained nods to the teeming energy of early '90s DIY hardcore, the aggravated angularities of This Heat, and the noisy riffing of AmRep's quintessential guitar manglers, but there was never a moment where METZ sounded like they were paying tribute to the heroes of their youth.
