A: This unit only takes a 1U space. If you bought a 6U rack, then you would have 5U space left over. I bought a 6U rack and put a few otther items in the rack and have tons a space left over.

Q: Under specifications, this item states it has 24 PoE ports, but according to the manufacturer, this model does not provide PoE to any ports. Which is it? I've ordered and nowhere on the box does it state anything about PoE.

A: JB Thank you for reaching out and pointing this out to us. We will work with Best Buy to correct this error. The TL-SG1024D is not POE compatible. The highest port switch we currently offer in our unmanaged switch line with PoE is the 16-port TL-SG1218MP

    One switch for all wired network

    Installation is rather easy. However, I have to bundle up the cables as preparation to speed up the installation. I used to use 2 switches to hook up these wired devices, but now it's one for all.

    Simple, Plug & play, compatible with eero network

    Rack mounted to a 2U frame, fit perfect with all the included mounting brackets and screws. Just plug and play... needed a larger switch to collect ethernet at a centralized room in my house.... and just worked perfectly. Compatible with my eero mesh system, make all eeros home runs to gateway, bypassing the wireless backhaul... now all 3 eeros provide full speed back to the gateway thru this switch from all areas of the house.

    Good value and solid performance

    This was an easy plug and play replacement for a 14yo 10/100 24 port switch. I think the old switch was 'dying' from age and power surges/outages. I replaced the old switch and was back up running in 30 minutes. Don't need the speed since the majority of connected devices are 100MBps, but the connectivity is reliable again.
