UMG - Fatur - Strafatur - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Lovingly compiled, this album features only the finest Lovers from Jamaica's finest tag. From Blues parties in London, Birmingham, Bristol etc Lovers Rock quickly became one of the UK's finest-ever musical movements. Sweet harmonies, soulful reggae, love songs - the key ingredients of Lovers Rock - were all based on the revival of many of the classic Rocksteady harmony groups of the late 60s and early 70s, such as The Heptones, Carlton and The Shoes, Larry & Alvin, The Paragons, that Clement InchSir CoxsoneInch Dodd's Studio One and rival Duke Reid's Treasure Isle tag produced hit after hit with as they fought for dominance in the dancehalls of Kingston. As well as these classic harmony groups, this album also features fine contributions from many of the reggae greats - Horace Andy, Alton Ellis, Bob Marley and The Wailers, Delroy Wilson - All artists who became stars at the legendary Studio One Records which Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records, describes as InchThe University of ReggaeInch.

Fattaru - Mina Drommars Stad [COMPACT DISCS] date 05/20/2008

2010 from the eccentric Scottish singer, songwriter and musician. After a two-year foray into book-writing and contemporary art, Momus returns to pop with his strongest in over a decade. This time he's focused on what he calls Inchthe catnip factorInch. Just what is it that makes US want to play a great song over and over again on YouTube? What is it about some simple chords and rhymes that really gets under our skin and penetrates deep into our memory and emotion? After avoiding pop, or asking it to do things books and art can do better, Momus suddenly found himself, in the spring of 2010, playing his favorite songs on YouTube, drawing inspiration for new songs from them, recording the songs and making videos for them during marathon InchvideosongInch sessions, then uploading the results straight up to YouTube.
