Various Artists - Hopelessly Devoted to You (Various Artists) - Red - VINYL LP

Released in 1996 on CD, Hopelessly Devoted To You, showcased artists signed to Hopeless Records at the time. The compilation of pop-punk and punk rock bands associated with the California skate scene, like Guttermouth, Falling Sickness, NOBODYS, and Digger became a staple for fans of the genre and helped propel many of these bands to wider recognition.2023 marks the 30th Anniversary of Hopeless Records. Regarded as one of the most iconic and longest standing independent record tag. It's foundation was sparked by nothing more than a dare when founder Louis Posen was directing a video for now-legendary punk-rockers Guttermouth, the band asked him to put out their 7-inch despite his limited knowledge of the music industry. Posen had $1,000 to his name and a book titled How To Run An Independent Record tag. He asked friends for tips on how to run a tag, read magazines and paid attention to the advertisements in them, visited his local record store and learned everything by simply being a fan.Vinyl Variant Red

Kenny Ball & His Jazzmen - The Singles Collection 1960-1962 Plus - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

KENNY BALL & HIS JAZZMEN were the most popular, successful band of the late 50s/early 60s UK Trad Boom, and also enjoyed considerable international successes. This compilation anthologises their first ten singles for Pye Records, between 1960-62, alongside a selection of EP and LP sides, and other collectors' rarities. Includes their million-selling, international hits 'Midnight In Moscow' (which reached #2 in the United States), 'March Of The Siamese Children' and 'The Green Leaves Of Summer'. Also features the UK hits 'Samantha', 'I Still Love You All', 'Someday (You'll Be Sorry)', 'So Do I', 'The Pay-Off' and 'Sukiyaaki'. The bonus tracks include a trio of early collectors' rarities, recorded for small labels before they became popular and successful, which are virtually impossible to find elsewhere on CD. This is the first time that Kenny Ball's early recording career has been thus compiled.

Down, Not Out - Down Not Out - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Founding members Andrew Freeman and Eric Kurtzrock are joined on this recording by Brad Russell (Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Kevin Russell) on bass, Chojo Jacques (founding member of the Waybacks, Slaid Cleeves) on mandolin and violin, Tim Hunt (Yankee Grey) on harmonies, as well as a host of San Francisco's finest musicians. High energy flatpicking, beautiful ballads, ripping mandolin...this is a fun CD.
