Comprised of six performers and composers, all with stellar resumes but based in far-reaching corners of the country, the members of the Unhinged Sextet were originally drawn together through long-standing mutual associations. After gathering in Arizona for their debut, 2015's InchClarity,Inch they were compelled to further explore the writing, emotions, and aesthetic the grouping inspired. The resulting performance of eight original compositions displays the warm regard the players have for each other's talents and a collective group dynamic clearly moving forward. Inch... one sample of this album is enough to dispel any thoughts of a musical group that is coming apart, unhinged in any way. Far from the truth, as the brilliant play and sophisticated compositions from the band will surely illuminate.Inch - ALL ABOUT JAZZInch... The elegant performances and imaginative writing make for a cohesive and uniformly enjoyable listening experience... sophisticated and charming jazz that also has a much-needed common touch.Inch - Chicago Jazz Magazine

Fueled by the financial drippings of number runners & boosted by Hall-of-Fame running back Jim Brown, Cleveland, Ohio's Way Out Records offered asylum for a rising crop of rogue soul men, rust-belt vocal ensembles, & trial-by-fire producers. Helmed by a friendly consortium of hustlers, police officers, and gridiron giants, pet project beget obsession as Motown arrangers, gospel choirs, and the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra were all beckoned to the wrong side of the tracks to mint masterpieces for the Sensations, Volcanic Eruption, the Exceptional Three, and Bobby Wade, all beneath the mindful gaze of a wall-mounted shotgun. Reaching their peak in the late '60s, Eccentric Soul The Way Out tag gathers the brightest moments from the quirky operation's eleven year bid. This 2 CD version includes exclusive photos & extensive liner notes. For fans of group harmony, sweet soul, orchestral feats and lo-fi oddities.
