About this product
The great era of melodrama, the combination of recitation and piano accompaniment, was over after 1900. But there are artists who still devote themselves to melodrama - a melodrama in a new way. It is not about emotion and tears, not about increasing the sentimentality as infinitely as possible, but about a musical emphasis and deepening of the text, about a non-textual mirror of what is said in the word and what is interpreted, interpreted in the sound. The duo pianoworte has been dealing with this kind of melodrama for many years - with such success that meanwhile quite a few composers, inspired by the fine art of reciting actor Helmut Thiele and pianist Bernd-Christian Schulze, have written new works in this genre. In these works a lot of humor flashes again and again, which is due to both the literary templates and the settings. This album contains four cycles InchGalgenliederInch by Christian Morgenstern in the setting by Christoph J. Keller, excerpts from the style exercises InchAutobus SInch by Raymond Queneau in the setting by Hans-Wilhelm Plate, the InchTiergebeteInch by Frieder Meschwitz and six Poems from InchCritique of the HeartInch by Wilhelm Busch, composed by Wolfgang Gabriel. This selection clearly shows that Schulze and Thiele have completely omitted the melodramatic of the ballad in this project, which sounds often involuntarily comical to today's ears. Instead, they have entered the field of little wisdom.

The 500th anniversary of the death of Emperor Maximilian I this year is the occasion for several exhibitions and also for the programme of the ensemble Per-Sonat's new . Maximilian, who was crowned Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 1508, was a great patron of the arts in addition to his warlike activities. Here the music was in his special interest and he brought the most important musicians of his time to his court Heinrich Isaac, Josquin des Pres, Paul Hofhaimer and Johannes Ockeghem. The artistic sacred music for Emperor Maximilian has already been widely published. The ensemble Per-Sonat, directed by Sabine Lutzenberger, consists exclusively of leading heads of the early music scene and now turns to secular music at Maximilian's court the songs, chansons and dances that document the emperor's love of music in a new way.

This entertaining album features music of our time arranged for and performed by brass. The Brass Band Blechlkang, which consists of around 35 musicians, is made up of brass instruments and large classical percussion. With the exception of the percussion and the trombones, only instruments from the Saxhorn family are used. It is played on cornets, alto horns, baritones, euphonies, trombones and tubas. The structural similarity of the instruments used results in a particularly soft mixed sound. In combination with the ensemble-specific dominance of the bass register (up to five tubes), the typical, unmistakable sound of a brass band comes into play, which is compared over and over again with a Inchsoulful organInch.
