Whether mounted on your camera or placed on a tripod, the Vidpro XM-50 condenser shotgun microphone delivers high-quality directional audio without adding weight. Its compact and lightweight design includes indoor and outdoor wind protection along with an integrated vibration-reducing shockmount to minimize residual noise. Unlike omnidirectional mics built into most cameras, the XM-50’s supercardioid polar pattern provides focused frontal pickup with less ambient noise. It operates for up to 120 hours on two AA batteries (sold separately) and connects via the attached 3.5mm TRS cable. Onboard switches allow gain control and high-pass filtering for optimized signal quality at the mic.
