Mixed by Dean Reid (Lana Del Rey, James Blake), it reads as both reintroduction and redemption. For a band born of the 2000s blog wave alongside Vampire Weekend, The National, and Grizzly Bear, Dreamers in Exile is less nostalgia than proof of life. It's the sound of a beloved group returning on their own terms and finding their songs resonating more widely than ever.

As part of this celebration, the band, with the help of Kyle Black and Rob Ramos, completed InchGlass Houses,Inch an unfinished song from the original recording sessions. Exile in Oblivion showcases Strung Out's signature blend of melodic punk, hardcore, and metal elements, now sounding better than ever. While previous albums hinted at their technical prowess, Exile in Oblivion stands out as a disciplined display of intricate guitar work and rapid drumming, always serving the song's core. The album has consistently received praise for it's powerful songwriting, intricate musicianship, and a darker, more aggressive tone, solidifying it's reputation as a significant within both the band's discography and the broader melodic punk/hardcore scene.
