Q: How do you connect the solar panel to the camera?

A: It has a usb cable conected to the solar panel. You only need to open the little lid under the camera and plug the usb.

Q: What type of USB connection does it use? I ordered 3 Arlo Essential XL cameras and 3 of these panels. The Arlo are USB-C and these appear to be USB-Micro. They are not compatible, and I need to either buy adapters or return them.

Q: I have Arlo Pro 2 cameras and hub, will this camera connect to my existing hub or will I need another?

A: Sadly it will not. I thought it would utilize the same connection prong but it does not. When looking for the right panel. Have the sales clerk check the specific plug used for your camera and then the panel. One connector has a small base for the Arlo pro 2 cameras. This particular panel is only good for the newer camera I bought.

Q: will this work with Arlo Essential Outdoor 2K Camera?

A: These are not compatible with the Arlo Essential XL either. The panel has a micro USB connection while the Arlo Essential XL uses a USB C. Why is it too hard to put the connector types in the specifications for the product?

Q: Is Arlo - Pro 2-Camera Indoor/Outdoor Wireless 720 Model VMS4230-100NAS. SKU; 5604500 will work with this solar and do I need one to each cameras?

A: I don't have it hooked to my pro 2 camera. I have essential spot light camera's outside with one solar panel per camera I was told by Arlo one panel per camera.

Soaking up some energy!
Pleasantly surprised. The material it was made of seemed a little flimsy. i quickly learned not to judge it by its looks. It is a great item! Well worth it. No issues. It keeps my camera on at .99% battery at all times. And it will warn me if it goes lower than that. We placed it where we felt the sun would hit it nicely.

Nice solar panel but could be better
Easy solar panel to install on the Arlo Essential securty camera, install the solar panel in a very sunny area near the security camera and plug it in. At first the panel charge the camera while its getting sun, but as soon the sun its gone, it slightly discharged my camera. This solar panel only keep my camera charge between 70/60 %, not even on a fully sunny day this penel will fully charge my camera, but at least it’s affordable and it chwrgd a little bit.

BEST FIND!
I love these little things! First of all, they’re so easy to install anybody can do it! The best thing about these solar panels is that I do not have to take down the camera to recharge it when the battery dies! Also love the fact that I now get to set the video setting to BEST quality as I do t need to worry about battery charge! properly placed, these little babies will keep your camera at 100% most of the time. At night time, even if you use them quite a bit, they rarely go down past 95%. I have nine cameras, of which I use seven on these solar panels. The other two are in a garage and the front door where there is no place to put the solar panel, but dealing with two cameras compared to nine is wonderful. Love the price on this as it’s $40 or less usually, and worth every single penny! Some of these I’ve had for over a year pushing two and still not one problem. Go get these immediately especially for the essential due to the flood light. Those drain the battery quite quickly if you don’t have the Solar Panel.
