Q: How do I clean the Waterpik Slide? How do I remove the water chamber from the unit?

A: According to the reps at Waterpik and their Youtube video you simply pull hard on the water reservoir until it pulls off. However, when I did this the plastic on the reservoir cracked where the little bumps that prevent it from sliding off have to go over each other. The plastic just isn't flexible enough. I sent pics to the Waterpik rep and they offered to replace it, but I had already returned it.

Q: I bought a Waterpik Cordless Slide Water flosser on 1/12/24. The Model number is WF16W010, SKU 6534954. The Water Flosser broke. I was unable to charge the battery. I threw out this item. I have protection on the Flosser can I cancel the protection.

Compact Size, Very Effective Performance!
The new Waterpik Cordless Slide flosser is very well-made and will consistently deliver safe and effective cleaning/plaque removal for your teeth and irrigation/light massage of your gums. It has quality features which makes it one of the best oral care devices on the market. Waterpik produces a wide range of oral health care devices and pulsating shower heads. It was founded in 1962 and since 2017 it has been a unit of Church & Dwight, best known for the Arm & Hammer brand. It is based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Here are the relevant features and specifications: • Waterpik Cordless Slide Water Flosser (Model: WF-16W010) • Collapsible body (reduces height from 8.4” to 5.7”) saves space for travel • Three flosser tips: classic jet (general use), plaque seeker (implants, crowns, retainers) and orthodonic (braces) • Three pressure settings (gentle/normal/maximum clean) • Splash-resistant design – can be used in the shower • Powered by rechargeable 600 mAh lithium ion battery for up to four weeks of use on one 4 hour charge • 40” USB-A to USB-C recharging cable included • Ergonomic intelligently contoured design • Very compact: 2.3” wide by 1.5” deep and 8.4” tall (5.7” tall when collapsed); Weight: 8.5 ounces • Two year parts and labor warranty When you open the box and unpack the unit you will be impressed by the solid feel and quality of construction. It has a nice ergonomic design, is lightweight and fits well in your hand. The design is attractive, with a winter white plastic body and non-slip surfaces where you hold it. It has an oval shape to match the natural curve of your hand, ensuring good control when you use it. The unit comes fully charged. Just slide it open from the compact, closed position, fill it with water at the opening on the bottom, set the water pressure (gentle/normal/maximum clean) and insert the selected tip. Be sure to point the tip carefully into your mouth with your face pointing down into the sink or you will spray water all around your bathroom! With a little practice this becomes easy and the relatively short running time for each use (about 45 seconds) enables you to control the overspray issue. After daily use, open the water port, remove the tip and let the unit air dry. Since the usage is only about 45 seconds per session, one charge can last up to four weeks of daily use. If the battery is completely discharged it will take about 4 hours to fully recharge. An LED indicator on the unit indicates when a recharge is necessary. A generous 40 inch long USB-C charging cable is included with the water flosser, but you have to supply your own USB power cube/transformer. The main body of the water flosser (which includes the rechargeable battery) is resistant to water, but not impervious, so do not immerse it in water. You can use flosser in the shower and it should not be adversely affected. The three included tips are designed to accommodate normal teeth, crowns, implants, retainers and braces. You will want to experiment with each tip to determine which one works best for you. I found that using the water flosser before brushing was most effective. It cleared out any fine particles between my teeth and below the gum line. It also stimulated my gums very effectively. Following this with brushing and it felt like I had just had a professional cleaning. Waterpik-sponsored research has established that the water flosser removes 99.9% of plaque. It is 50% more effective for gum health than string floss and two-to-three times more effective than string floss around implants and braces. After use just collapse the unit and it takes up very little space on the bathroom countertop, in a drawer or on a shelf. The cordless operation is very useful in outlet-challenged bathrooms. The long battery life makes it convenient to take with you when you travel. But if it ever needs a recharge the USB-C cable can be plugged into any USB-A outlet (even your laptop!) Given its very effective operation, compact size and cordless convenience, coupled with the quality assurance of the Waterpik name, I can give this great device a full five stars and my enthusiastic recommendation. This is a sturdy, top quality unit which will serve your oral care needs very well. You will not regret this purchase!

Feels like a complete cleaning
We’ve been using another water flosser for a while, and while it’s done a decent job, it was very bulky and took up a lot of real estate on our bathroom counter and lots of space in our toiletries bag when we went out of town. We were looking for something that did a great job but maybe wasn’t so bulky. This one fit that bill perfectly with one minor setback. First, setup was easy. You get a USB-C to USB-A cable in the box. I love that it charges up using USB-C. I already carry a couple of those chargers for my other electronics. You do not get an actual wall charger, just the supplied cable. Again, luckily, we have many devices that use these types of cables, so I just grabbed one of the other wall adapters to plug it in to charge up. The rest of the setup is straightforward and you can start using it after the initial charging time, they recommend about 4 hours. Use is very easy, if you have ever used a water flosser then you know what to expect here. You get 3 different tips to use depending on your dental history. You get great pressure and feel it doing its job immediately. My mouth feels very clean after I am done using it. The only minor thing is that you will more than likely need to refill the water reservoir in order to complete the full cleaning process, at least we do. This is that minor issue I mentioned at the start. I am guessing this is just a sacrifice for having a smaller travel friendly water flosser. I am ok with that, but others might have an issue with it. Battery life has been great so far, we did the initial charge and have used it for about a week and have yet to have to recharge it. I love that it collapses down into a smaller package to easily pack up. The pressure, and extra flosser tips are great. I really appreciate that it charges with a USB-C cable and not some proprietary or micro-USB cable.

Great for Travel
The Waterpik Cordless Slide Water Flosser is a compact rechargeable portable water flosser making it a great companion for traveling. The 'slide' feature collapses to about half of its size, making it reasonably compact for storage and travel. The unit is surprisingly quiet, and is shower safe. For such a small device, it does a very good job as a water flosser. It will be great for traveling, but with its compact size expect to refill the water reservoir at least once during use. There are 3 water pressure settings and the water pressure is pretty strong. It would be nice if the lowest setting was a little gentler. While it works very well, the Waterpik Slide Water Flosser not without flaws. The small filling hole makes it a bit messy to refill. It comes with 3 tips and a USB C cord for charging, but does not come with a USB charger. I also found it somewhat disappointing that a Waterpik designed for travel doesn't come with a container to hold the attachments, or a travel case for the appliance itself.
