    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: What is the water consumption of this device? Are there settings that use less water and if so what are the settings and how much water would it use? Also, is that wooden top removable? it looks ugly.

A: Hello, Iglo. The wooden top is not removable. The water usage gallons for HEAVY 7.4 gallons, NORMAL 3.5-7.4 gallons, ECO 2.9 gallons, 1-HR WASH 5.3 gallons, OVERNIGHT 5.2 gallons. The one that uses the least amount of water is ECO cycle. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!

Q: do the wheels lock so when its running it wont move around? Or does it not run that hard to where it stays in one spot.

A: No the wheels do not lock but when its running it doesn't move from its own forces. Just don't go putting it on a down-word slope.

Q: What temperature does this heat the water up to on the high temperature heat cycle. Rob

A: Rob, The water should be 120°F (49°C) as it enters the dishwasher. The highest water temperature will be approximately 155°F (68°C) on the Sani Rinse option. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!

Q: I was researching reviews and one article stated that Whirlpool will no longer be producing this dishwasher. Is this true? Also was reading customer reviews and one customer complained that the hose was too short. What is the size of the hose?

A: Don't know the size of the hose but the length of the hose is long enough for us to use the dishwasher as it should be used. But honestly we have had 3 bad dishwashers delivered and I believe it is Whirlpools fault. The panels are not put on the sides and they bow out. To me this dishwasher is junk. Try a GE.
