Remodeling a kitchen and using this with my gas cooktop in an island. This downdraft is perfect for our needs. A click of a button and it pops up to do its thing. When not in use, it sits hidden in the island. Perhaps the best bonus is that the motor is reversible so it can be installed so you get full storage under your cooktop.

When the unit opens, tall and the fan has 3 speeds, but the fan on high is a little loud

product I purchased at the suggestion of the sales clerk was inaccurate. It did not function as he said it would, Dissapointed. I feel like he told me what I wanted to hear. bought a portable DVD/CD player (LG) to use with a HP laptop. will not play dvds. He said it was plug and play. No it wasn't. downloaded the cyberlink that came with it. Complete waste of time.
