Purchased for my basement and it been doing an awesome job and made a significant different in my basement air, smell and removal of excessive coolness present year round. I have not used my basement space heaters since purchasing this quite, yet powerful dehumidifier.

Does the job for me, but was extremely pricey compared to the competitors. No app support and was heavy. Also, lots of nooks and crannies. That means it is harder to clean the water container, and there are places where it is almost feels enclosed. Also, bought this due to the Whirlpool brand and good review results on Consumer Reports. However, discovered this looks identical to the TCL, so I'm guessing this isn't manufactured by Whirlpool and instead is a rebadged.

Pump works as advertised. Accessories were included. Nice quiet operation. Control Panel easy to operate, unlike last unit I owned. It’s in my basement, performing better than I expected. Wife and I very happy.

Works as it should. Removes a lot of moisture from the air. My only complaint is this appears to be a returned product, but was not advertised as such. The box was torn and taped back together and there is tape on both sides of the dehumidifier as if to hold it together. But since it works just fine, I kept it.

I've had the Whirlpool 40-pint dehumidifier (with pump) for a couple weeks now, and it works very well. I had a difficult time trying to get it going using the pump and plastic hose they provided, but it turned out that before the pump starts to work, the bucket has to be very full so that the float indicates fullness. That's when the automatic dehumidifying with the pump actually worked. The filter is quite easy to remove to clean.

So far so good. The pump works well. We set it up on the floor and then it pumps up through the included hose into our deep sink. The only issue we have had is that when we don't use the hose, the bucket is a little difficult to get on and off.

Easy set up and programming. Pump and drain tube make this dehumidifier ideal for a basement - no emptying the internal water bin. Has run with no problems for the first month (it does have a warranty).

Very pleased with the item. It runs very quietly and I purchased it mainly due to the energy star rating and that it has a pump feature if needed.

I've only had this for a few weeks and it seems to be running fine, but I'm worried it may go the same way of the Whirlpool Dehumidifier (50 Pint) that I bought from Best Buy about a year and a half ago. These Whirlpools have a one-year warranty -- my 50 Pint one failed after exactly one year and one month. That one stopped collecting any water and would continuously shut down after displaying an "E3 error" message. I took a gamble and purchased this 40-pint one, hoping perhaps it wouldn't have to work as hard and maybe last for at least a year and a half. Fingers crossed.

Had humidity problems in attached insulated garage. Knocked it down from about 80% to around 45% in about a day. Goes back up when have to open garage door but starts back down as soon as I close it. Pump keeps water moving down the included hose

Nice machine, runs fairly quietly and, so far, the pump is working okay. Does seem to need the filter cleaned often though.

We have had the Whirlpool Dehumidifier for about a month and it has had no problems. Noise level is good and does a nice job in the garage on the basement setting.

So far so good - I was worried about the pump. It works - will it last? Who knows

This Dehumidifier is very easy to use and it is not that big.

So far the unit is working as well as expected. Until now it has been running more or less non-stop bringing the humidity down from about 60-63 % to a more comfortable 42-43

This is a replacement for a Whynter that gave up the ghost after a few years protecting our basement. This Whirlpool is somewhat quieter than the old one (though not quiet--hard to pull off when drying 400 s.f. or so) and runs like a champ. We've had it now for almost a month, making use of its pump to drain into the clothes washer drain. I measured extraction rates for the first few days, and it averaged 13-14 qts/day for the first few days. Over the 28 days of operation, it's averaged 6.36 kWh/day, pulling 265 watts on average. Reasonable, under the circumstances.

Works well in my basement removing moisture and with the built in pump I don't have to empty the bucket. Very happy with this product.

Does not do what best buy employees said it would. They would not replace for something different. Bad customer service.
