Q: Does the unit automatically restart after a power failure
A: The dehumidifier does have an 'auto-restart' function automatically restarts the unit when power is restored. Additionally, the Loss of Power Protection function remembers all settings when power is interrupted.
Q: How long is the included drain hose?
A: About 20ft, instructions say can be extended to 50 feet
Q: Will the unit pump out water if the hose is directed up and not downward toward a floor drain?
A: Manual says upto 16feet vertical, total 50 feet with more hose than about 20ft included with some units
A: When I hooked it up, I also found the pump did not work. It turns out the bucket has to be REALLY full before the pump actually pumps the water out; the float on the right side of the unit is very high up. I also set the humidity for 35. I do not empty the bucket. Dehumidifier works just fine. In my case, I keep the time frame on "continuous" to be sure it keeps pumping even if I'm away. Then it's necessary to clean the screen filter about every three days, but that just requires a quick rinse and it dries pretty fast. I've had it going for several weeks and am very happy with it.
A: The power cord is 6ft long. We do not have our unit connected to an extension cord so we can not answer that part of the question. The plug is three prong
