Customers are enthusiastic about the ease of use of the 7.4 Cu. Ft. 36-Cycle Electric Dryer. However, a significant drawback reported by customers is that the drying time is longer than expected, with some experiencing overheating issues. Several users noted that drying clothes takes considerably longer than with a vented dryer. This extended drying time is a major point of concern for many customers.

In an ideal world, I wouldn’t spend an entire month’s mortgage payment on a dryer, but if you’re looking at this unit, you probably don’t have many options. If you’re looking for a full size ventless dryer, this is literally your only option on the market right now. Other reviews point out that as a ventless dryer, it takes much longer to dry clothes than a traditional vented dryer (which is true). Other reviews indicated that it was loud, but I haven’t really noticed a difference compared to vented dryers I’ve had in the past. Overall, it does its job well and I’m happy with it, but if I didn’t specifically need a full size ventless dryer, I’d go with a much cheaper option. Also, when ordering, I didn’t realize that the dryer needed to be connected to a drain/water source in order to actually work, and neither did the Best Buy workers who came to set up the unit. We ended up getting a plumber to make an extra connection to our water line, but please keep that in mind and read the manual before operating!

I love my new heat pump dryer. First, you need to understand what you are getting with this dryer. If you are unfamiliar with heat pump dryers, do some research. I wanted a heat pump dryer because I live in a condo. Heat pump dryers are more energy efficient and do not blow air into your living space. Instead the dryer is connected to a drain. There is no vent. The drawback is that clothes take longer to dry, but it is also less harsh on your clothes. Now that I've used the dryer a few times, I really don't understand what other people are complaining about. I've never experienced my clothes not drying. It's takes longer, but they come out dry and the moisture does not go back into them if you let them sit in the dryer. The negative reviews about this dryer all seem to be based on misconceptions. This is the best dryer for condos because it allows you to fit a full size machine in a condo closet. You do not need extra space for venting. If you live in a condo with kids, then you need this dryer. Just understand what you are buying.

Let's get this out of the way first: ventless dryers take longer to dry than vented dryers. So if you buy this dryer, you need to go in with that expectation. This is not a defect in this particular dryer. However, while being slower, ventless dryers still use less energy and are also safer for your clothes because they generally dry at lower temperatures. If you live in an apartment, a ventless dryer may be your only option. Most ventless dryers are very small, meaning you have to run many more loads to get through all of your laundry. This dryer is the only one where you don't have to make that compromise. The fact that it has almost twice the capacity of most ventless dryers is an absolute game changer. With that size, it still fits inside a closet that is 34" deep. The dryer is easy to use and dries completely, which is more than I can say for our previous dryer, which often required running a load twice. With this one, put it in auto mode, put dryness level to the highest, and let it go. When it says it's done, your clothes and even your towels will be all dry. The dryer is a bit loud, so if you are sensitive to sound, that is something to keep in mind. We don't find it overwhelming and the benefits far outweigh this one issue. Another recommendation: there are two lint filters, one inside under the door and one in a drawer that you have to pull out. The manual says you only need to clean the latter once every five loads. However, we have found it gets quite full and can benefit from being emptied after every load. Overall, you can't go wrong with this dryer and I'd recommend it enthusiastically!
