The Whistler TRX-2 Digital Scanner is a powerful desktop/mobile police and radio scanner with helpful features that make scanning fast and simple. Canadian and US databases are stored internally on the MicroSD card, providing access to comprehensive radio data without the need for Internet access. The TRX-2 is designed to bundle and map stored objects, giving you complete control when grouping objects and selecting groups for scanning. Its internal storage system saves up to 200 scanner configurations that are easily recalled in the field on the radio's keypad. This simplified keypad and display features familiar scan, pause, skip and navigation controls. The mobile scanner features programmable alarms that alert when certain objects are nearby based on user programming, and the tri-color LED displays thousands of custom combinations to indicate specific types of activity or activity on particular channels. This desktop scanner has a built-in discriminator output that provides raw discriminator signal to third party decoding software without risky modifications, and it automatically detects and masks encrypted voice audio.
