Q: want to put in well house temp is 115 to 120 in middle of summer will this hurt anything
A: Although the ice maker is insulated, it does not keep the ice it makes frozen. Keeping the unit in a space with high heat conditions will cause the ice to melt at a fast pace. Q: How manyy lbs ice does it hold
A: It can hold up to 7.7 lbs of ice.
A: I would not put it in an enclosed cabinet. The compressor gives off some heat that would not be conducive to being enclosed.
Q: Does this machine need a drain
A: Yes it needs a drain. Since I did not have a drain near where I wanted, I bought a Little Giant pump that automatically pumps water when it is filled. I then pump the water up and into a vent pipe. If you are in a cold climate area like we are, just put the drain hose under the insulation to assure it does not freeze up. The Little Giant pump can be found on Amazon for under $50. This ice maker is incredible fast at delivering ice. I have found it well worth the investment.

Nice ice machine
Ok ..I have had this ice machine for about 2 years now...I have used it every weekend ..fri and sat.then i turn it off...it has ran absolutely perfect.... makes ice pretty quickly.. It was a perfect size to fit underneath my bar I would recommend to anyone looking for one!!!

Doesn't keep ice cold!
So dumb. When the bin is full, it not only stops making ice (which I want to avoid overflow) but it TURNS ITSELF OFF. This means that your ice melts!! There is nothing in the description that says this, and it is the dumbest feature I've ever seen. So you make ice, but if you don't use it right away, it melts.
