When they decide to wed, unconventionality turns into hilarity in the wacky Yours, Mine and Ours. Directed by Melville Shavelson (Houseboat) from a screenplay by Mort Lachman and Shavelson and a story by Bob Carroll Jr. And Madelyn Davis based on the Helen Beardsley book, Yours, Mine and Ours features supporting performances by Tim Matheson (Animal House), Tom Bosley (TV's Happy Days), Gary Goetzman (Married to the Mob), Morgan Brittany (Gypsy) and Tracy Nelson (Down and Out in Beverly Hills).

Family life gets delightfully out of hand in Yours, Mine and Ours, the beloved 1968 comedy inspired by the true story of love, laughter, and logistical chaos. Lucille Ball (TV's I Love Lucy, The Long, Long Trailer, Mame) stars as Helen North, a widowed nurse with eight children who unexpectedly falls for Navy officer Frank Beardsley-played by Henry Fonda (12 Angry Men, On Golden Pond, Mister Roberts)-a disciplined widower with ten kids of his own. When they marry, it's instant pandemonium as two enormous households collide under one roof, testing patience, parenting skills, and plumbing alike. Directed by Melville Shavelson (Houseboat, It Started in Naples, The Five Pennies), this warm and witty family comedy balances heart and hilarity with timeless charm. The film also features Van Johnson (Brigadoon, The Caine Mutiny, Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo), Tom Bosley (Happy Days), Tim Matheson (Animal House, The West Wing, Sometimes They Come Back), Morgan Brittany (Dallas), and Tracy Nelson (Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Father Dowling Mysteries), each adding a memorable spark to the organized chaos. With it's blend of screwball comedy and genuine affection, Yours, Mine and Ours became one of the decade's biggest family hits, later inspiring the 2005 remake starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo. Bursting with '60s color, charm, and family-friendly fun, this heartwarming classic remains a joyful celebration of love that's big, blended, and beautifully chaotic. Not Rated
