Yuko Ishikawa - Ishikawa Yuko - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

In the planning phase of this CD, which evolved together with the talented performer Miriam Garagnani playing theacoustic part of compositions on the piano with great virtuosity, it was decided to create a musical path that includedthe double version of two previous compositions of mine Achernar (2014) for piano and orchestra and Nan (2019) forsolo piano. It is the new interpretation of two particularly relevant songs which can best summarize my musical poetics, experimentation and research work as well in the years 20142019,especially on the piano - but not only it, togetherwith several masterful performers.Nan (2019), for example, is a composition created for pianist and researcher Giusy Caruso, a performer mostly committedto playing music of the present day. That composition is proposed on the CD both in the original 2019 version for solopiano and in the 2024 version for spatialized piano, while Achernar (2014), originally composed for piano and orchestra,is presented in two recent 2024 versions, the first one for spatialized piano and the second one for piano and 'imaginaryorchestra.' The second version has been a chiseled work in which we wanted to recreate a sort of electronic orchestrastarting from the acoustic sound of prerecordedand electronically processed piano. With the aim of achieving that particularsound result, we worked on modifying the previously recorded audio material with the help of various sophisticatedaudio editing tools.

Smith/Kotzen is the musical collaboration between musicians Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden and Richie Kotzen who is a member of the Winery Dogs and a solo artist in his own right. InchWhite NoiseInch is the debut single from their hugely anticipated second album, Black Light/White Noise.

Formed in 1984, Messiah played a major role in the development of thrash and death metal in Switzerland. They released two groundbreaking albums on Chainsaw Murder Records Hymn To Abramelin in 1986 and Extreme Cold Weather in 1987. In the early nineties, Messiah signed a contract with Karl Walterbach's tag Noise Records, on which three more albums were released Choir Of Horrors (1991), Rotten Perish (1992), and Underground (1994). Many consider Choir Of Horrors to be the highlight of Messiah's work. This 35th Anniversary edition includes live recordings (Switzerland 1992, Erlangen and Berlin 1993) as well as the album's pre-production, including the unreleased track InchIndecent Assault Of The Tribe.Inch
