Obvious SCRATCHES...Don't wait to open the box!
Problem 1: I should have unpacked it right away to find out that it was scratched rather than wait until my contractor was going to install it (several weeks after my purchase). Like another review stated, mine was obviously scratched. There was a rough squarish shape that looked like it had a different finish (around the buttons) and two scratches that extended beyond two of the 'sides'. Yes, it seems like the scratches were made at the factory and are related to the "protective film" though I didn't get to see it before the plumber/installer had removed it. He then told me about it. (I'll add a photo if I can update this review) Problem #2 was that it was too late to do anything about it because it was past the return date when I called Best Buy. At least I like that it uses a regular light bulb and that it works. I hadn't had a working range hood in years, and now I have an almost all-new kitchen.

Easy and simple
Functions extremely well has two different fans settings, which is super nice and helps with steam. Personally, I just love the aesthetic. Makes me excited to update my cabinets this spring to match the sleekness

Arrived scratched.
Hood vent arrived well packed. Once removed from the box it is covered in a protective film covering it to protect it. However, it looks like they used a razor knife to cut out the film around buttons for the fan and light and scratched the stainless steel. I would like to get it replaced but I'm worried that one will be scratched as well. Not sure why they use a sharp object ti cut out tjus section.
