A: I had a stock radio and it sounds better even with my stock speakers. I have a Ford explorer sport and it cost about 90 plus tax. It cost 250 walking out the door. Installation, parts, and stereo.

Good overall head unit
It's a fine head unit. The colors are nice. Plenty of pre-outs for whatever you need. My only complaints are the daylight brightness. You can forget about reading what's on the screen at high noon. But the (albeit mediocre) JVC remote app helps a bit with that. Second complaint is that the head unit will only display actual metadata of audio files via USB. Meaning that if you haven't actually updated the and only have the file titled, the head unit will just display a number instead of track name. Also, it doesn't allow you to see names of folders when browsing through USB which is kind of a bummer. Other than those couple of minor gripes, the head unit is great.

Great Upgrade To An Older Vehicle
Liking it so far. Used the recommended install kit. Seems to get good AM reception which I like because I listen to local radio stations. The controls are easy to learn and I like the clock can set itself somehow though the FM band. Best Buy had a great price and I was able to look at it and try the buttons before buying. I BIG volume knob is a great feature too. Push it in and it mutes the sound. Overall, excellent design and looks great.

Great bang for the buck.
Has all the features you'd expect for the price but it does it darn well and looks good doing it. This purchase was for my ex-girlfriend's daughter's Christmas gift. I myself installed it. It was easy. But i liked it so nuch, I bought a second one for myself.
