Who knows how to get the advanced features?
Posted .good , but need to be able to get to the advanced features. If you go to the http://192.168.2.1 when connected to the ad hoc wifi (wifi directly to the camera) there is a web interface. Access to these advanced featured would really help us who do high end DV editing. Screen shots all can be found here http://s129.photobucket.com/user/GiantStuffedAnimals/library/360Fly?sort=3&page=1 .

So Easy to Use and Share Videos
Posted .So simple to use and easy to edit/share with social media and friends. I'm catching all the shots and selecting the perfect frame and angle that I would normally miss when surfing with non-360 degree cameras!

Fly
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAn affordable 360 vr camera all in one that is easy to get started and use. Though the camera picture is taken in high def 1080, stretching it with the fish eye lens and then veiwing only a fraction of it makes it for a pixilated low resoluton video(unless viewing at full 360. They should opt for the new norm of a 4k camera and a way to interchange batteries. Easy to use when just recording but using in tandem with a screen/phone will drain the battery faster with no way of changing batteries and once a battery is drain, camera does not let you charge and go at the same time. Which is a big downfall for long trips/adventures while using a portable power supply. But in all it is affordable, robust and waterproof(as long as mic is plugged) and with an easy one button function with vibrate function for grab and go. Though boot up may take a bit of waiting for the ADD generation.

Not Yet Ready for Prime Time
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendCompared to my GoPro Hero Black, this device has not been as functional when you do not have an internet connection to run your app and you cannot charge and download your device. I was on a a four-day remote trip in Central Kalimantan in Borneo where I had no cell service or electricity available. My GoPro uses memory cards. That was easy when one was filled, I just changed it. Also, my cell phone app did not work without a cell tower. Maybe there is a way to work around this. The GoPro is much easier without the cell app plus a remote is available. I own both cameras and several others like the Sony A6000 and Sony D7000 that I also had on this trip. I have filled sever 64GB memory cards. It is more important for me to be able to change memory cards than to have it totally submersible. This is a great concept and I think future versions may be worth buying. There is another 4K version coming soon and it must have more internal memory or you would only get about 10 minutes of 4k video.

Nice but frustrating.
Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendFirst off the camera is cool. Its 360 degrees that dazzles when viewed on the Facebook or Youtube. Here's my issue. And its a big one. Software Software Software. I figured since there is a 2 minute limit on video uploads(files are very big) I could at least trim a few different movies then add them together to get to 2 minutes. Nope. I figured that the desktop program for PC would be much more than a simple trim deal. The mobile app is much more detailed however its close to impossible to edit if using your fingers for the slide. I like this. Sorta wish I wouldve waited until things get to be more supported but buying this was the early adopter in me. If expecting to go out and make some cool edits or videos over 2 minutes, this is not that camera right now. If you just want to strap it on your head or bike and go riding or walking for 30 minutes than come back home, use mobile app, generically trim a video to two minutes without too much thought into detail, this might be for you. Im very regretful that I bought this to be truthful. Was hoping for much better software tools. They will come in due time but so will the price. Right now I still have this debating on a return. It's cool but not $400 cool only for a generic 2 minute video. It will get better with time though. Software Software Software

Good product, excited for the future.
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is my first 360 degree camera purchase and I'm happy to report that it's unlike anything I've experienced from a camera before. The camera design is beautiful and definitely stands out. The resolution of the camera could be better if this is going to be the next evolution of video, but it's a good start. I was really intrigued by the apps built in virtual reality. It's a little difficult to set-up in the goggles, but after the orientation is configured it's pretty cool. My son (11yo) loves to watch himself so that's entertaining. The set-up is fairly simple, although I had trouble connecting the camera to the app. I've also experienced a few app crashes during my video edits... So that's kinda annoying. Overall I've been happy. It would just be nice if the resolution was better. It's certainly not a professional camera, but it's 100% worth checking out if you're interested in 360 degree video or virtual reality. As long as you don't need your videos to be professional quality, this product is for you. I'm excited to see the improvements that hopefully come with their next generation.

Awesome little thing
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI use it while riding my motorcycle, I don't have any problems with it mounted on my gas tank (especially at the speed I've gone with it). Recording is very good, sound quality is great as well. With any new thing it needs a little improvement. Main thing is the time it takes to download to my phone as well as buffering during playback- even when the 360 right next to my phone. Other than that this thing is awesome!

Great Fun 360 Camera
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI had this camera for several weeks now and purchased it because I was curious about the 360 degree coverage. I purchased because the videos could be played back with Google cardboard. That experience is still somewhat buggy but works good enough to enjoy. I wish the quality was better but good all in all. This camera is fun to play with and awesome to view in 360.
