An affordable 360 vr camera all in one that is easy to get started and use. Though the camera picture is taken in high def 1080, stretching it with the fish eye lens and then veiwing only a fraction of it makes it for a pixilated low resoluton video(unless viewing at full 360. They should opt for the new norm of a 4k camera and a way to interchange batteries. Easy to use when just recording but using in tandem with a screen/phone will drain the battery faster with no way of changing batteries and once a battery is drain, camera does not let you charge and go at the same time. Which is a big downfall for long trips/adventures while using a portable power supply. But in all it is affordable, robust and waterproof(as long as mic is plugged) and with an easy one button function with vibrate function for grab and go. Though boot up may take a bit of waiting for the ADD generation.

Who knows how to get the advanced features?

good , but need to be able to get to the advanced features. If you go to the http://192.168.2.1 when connected to the ad hoc wifi (wifi directly to the camera) there is a web interface. Access to these advanced featured would really help us who do high end DV editing. Screen shots all can be found here http://s129.photobucket.com/user/GiantStuffedAnimals/library/360Fly?sort=3&page=1 .

This is a niche product- not everyone will want a 360 degree video camera. But 360 "VR" is starting to come into it's own and this a great, accessible entry-level camera to try out. Very easy to use, waterproof to over 100 feet and gopro mount compatible right out of the box. Video quality in not quite HD but again for a niche product it does well for the price IMO.

So we had like 3 GoPro cameras. I love GoPro. But I adore this camera. The editing tools on the app are crazy easy to use, the 360 perspective is just amazing, the camera itself is easy to use, it's lightweight, and I am super impressed that they gave us an adapter for the GoPro mounts instead of having their own overpriced mounts you are forced to buy when you have 100 mounts for the GoPro stuck to everything you own. And the adapter COMES WITH IT!!! Am I the only person solidly impressed by that? Anyway, our kids race motocross, we all ride as a family, we snowboard, wakeboard, wake surf, snowmobile, hike, camp, bicycle, motorcycle, go kart race, flat track race and the kids race bmx in the summer. We use this thing constantly. We are out doing something every weekend without fail. We probably need 3 more. I'm just going to strap one to each of them permanently!

Great introduction to 360 cameras

This camera is easy to use and does a great job of getting a 360 view of your surroundings. It is not 360 in all directions (just horizontally) but again, as an introduction, it is great. The quality of the video is good in good lighting - lacking in cloudy or dimly lit environments. The apps (phone and computer) are sufficient for quick editing but aren't as functional as iMovie or other video editing software. I look forward to the next generation of this (4k).

So Easy to Use and Share Videos

So simple to use and easy to edit/share with social media and friends. I'm catching all the shots and selecting the perfect frame and angle that I would normally miss when surfing with non-360 degree cameras!

We really like the 360fly but feel like it is good but not great yet. I think the next generations will hopefully be a bit clearer when you view them. The 360fly is easy to set up and use. I just wish the video had better clarity.

Great Fun 360 Camera

I had this camera for several weeks now and purchased it because I was curious about the 360 degree coverage. I purchased because the videos could be played back with Google cardboard. That experience is still somewhat buggy but works good enough to enjoy. I wish the quality was better but good all in all. This camera is fun to play with and awesome to view in 360.

The camera is fun and easy to use. Takes low quality to decent videos. Editing can only be done with the app on the phone. The computer app doesn't work nearly as well to edit.

Sold as waterproof to 50 meters but failed on my first attempt to take it to 34 meters. Trouble contacting Manufacturer about warranty. Software needs work. Sometimes doesn't show movies in 360. Don't buy as an underwater camera and make sure to get the Best Buy warranty. Most editing software won't edit or show correctly. You must rely on supplied software which is not that bad but buggy.

Overall this is a very fun camera. It allows for some very unique and cool shots. The software used to make it the virtual reality style view makes the video a little shaky and not quite as clear but I'm sure that will get improved. For a 1st generation camera it performs very well.

Not a bad item. Currently there isn't a whole lot of options to choose from in this price range. Not the greatest video but a lot of fun to use! updates for the app turn out nice every time. Great entry level 360 camera

This is a good little 360 camera we use it in our race car and its great for looking around at other cars while our driver is driving. Its not as clear as a regular HD point and shoot camera but being able to look all around makes up for any short comings.

the 360 fly is a fantastic Video camera but lacks some of the bells and whistles. The video quality is ok, but the actual viewed images are poor quality because you are zooming in to remove the rest of the 360 image. Also needs a still image capture feature with higher resolution. A good camera but price is high for fledgling technology. Also need a developer api.

Affordable 360 camera.
Quality isn't the greatest but it does what it's supposed to. I bought it for my wife to use every time she goes riding on her motorcycle and she loves it. Captures everything! Good for stunting and for pleasure riding as well. Best of all its waterproof! Very stable and hasn't fallen from its mount.

I use it while riding my motorcycle, I don't have any problems with it mounted on my gas tank (especially at the speed I've gone with it). Recording is very good, sound quality is great as well. With any new thing it needs a little improvement. Main thing is the time it takes to download to my phone as well as buffering during playback- even when the 360 right next to my phone. Other than that this thing is awesome!

Still checking the 360 Fly out. Very different. Still checking this camera out.
Need to find a good editor app for this. I like it so far! More to come!
