A: This refrigerator is not counter depth. I wish I would have purchased one that was, however it is very quiet. We do not hear it at all.
Q: Is the finger resistant stainless much darker? Worried it won’t match with other appliances
A: It is,a little but this is my only metal appliance right now. If it isn't next to another I don't think you would notice. But it's not super fingerprint resistance. But it does wipe off easy.
Q: Do the doors open 180 degrees? They appear to open slightly over 90 degrees in the pictures.
A: The doors do open 180 degrees to allow you to take the shelves out.
Q: Where is the control to turn the ice maker on and off?

Q: Can I get water without using the filter that's inside? I have an external filter.
A: Hi there, If you have a Whole Home Water Filtration System you should not need to use another filter inside of your refrigerator. However, if you are not using a filter within your refrigerator, you would need to use a bypass plug in its place. Otherwise, you will be unable to use your dispenser. Very Happy With Our New GE Refrigerator!
I researched almost every refrigerator on the market and decided this GE Side-By-Side Refrigerator would be the right choice. We’ve had it a few weeks now and are very happy. It looks great and has plenty of room in both the refrigerator and the freezer. It does take about a day or so to get the ice maker to fill up. But it works great and keeps the container full. It is fairly quiet but you will hear the ice cubes dropping into the bin. It looks great in our newly refurbished kitchen. I was also very happy with the delivery process. Everything went very smoothly.

GE Side by Side Is Illuminating!
Great value and styling. The interior lights in both compartments are fantastic. It lights up every section. I find the fridge storage to be more than adequate for my needs.

Best Purchase Made for GE Refrigerator
We were a little hesitant to purchase a GE brand refrigerator (after owning a Samsung for 10+ years), but after careful consideration and research along with the suggestion of a family member, we made a decision to purchase this side-by-side GE refrigerator/freezer. Its design is appealing and has ample storage capacity in both the refrigerator and freezer sections for our daily use. Since my hands and fingers are affected by arthritis, I was quite surprised at how easy it was to remove the shelves and adjust them to the height that was needed for food storage. So far, we have had this appliance for less than 2 months and enjoying its use. The stainless steel exterior is simple to clean with mild soap and damp cloth. Hopefully, this refrigerator/freezer will last for many years to come.
