Upgrade your water with the Aquasana Claryum® 2-Stage Under Sink Water Filter. With do-it-yourself installation, this filter uses Claryum® technology to reduce 77 contaminants from your drinking water including chlorine, lead, pesticides, PFOA/PFOS, and more. Expertly designed, patented Claryum® technology removes unwanted contaminants while retaining the healthy minerals found in tap water like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. This dual-filter technology does not use any added chemicals, so you can rest easy knowing that the only thing in your water is water. Traditional filter pitchers use gravity to filter water, making you wait for clean drinking water. Aquasana’s filter connects to your sink’s water line, providing immediate access to healthy, great-tasting water. In all, the Aquasana Claryum® 2-Stage tackles 15 times more contaminants than the leading pitcher filter. Installed underneath your sink and in a cabinet, this NSF Tested and Certified water filtration system is out of sight and off your countertop. All filtration systems and replacement filters are designed with the environment in mind, using minimal disposable plastic parts. Replacement filters are constructed for easy changes – simply twist off and on. Choose from three different faucet finishes – Brushed Nickel, Chrome, and Oil Rubbed Bronze – to perfectly match your kitchen design.
Q: Does it work only with the included faucet?
A: ?? Yes. They have different finishes if that is your concern. This model is to have a separate faucet from your kitchen faucet, so you need to have an extra hole in the sink. If you want it to work with your existing faucet, you would need to get an over-the-counter version, but that would only fit on a standard size kitchen faucet and every time you want filtered water, you would need to first turn on the faucet, then pull the little switch so that the water goes through the filter.
A: Easy to install. However, that really depends on the person. If you can do simple do-it-yourself installs, it is easy. (You can search for the installation instructions online and read them to see if it is something that is doable for you.) It is a 500 gallon filter, so depending on how many people are in your household, the replacement frequency will vary. You can guestimate how many gallons of purified water you would use in 1 week or 1 month. Then divide 500 by that number to get the number of weeks or months of use. For example, if you use 10 gallons per week, you would change the filter about every 50 weeks or about every 12.5 months. (500 / 5 = 50 weeks. 50/4 = 12.5 months)
