CORSAIR - VANGUARD 96 RGB Wired MLX Quantum Linear Mechanical Switch 96% Gaming Keyboard with FlashTap SOCD - Dual Tone

After 1 month of use I can say the Corsair Vanguard 96 Dual Tone keyboard is a great experience. It has a thocky sound but not over done. Typing is very smooth and responsive. The Hot Swappable switches are a great feature to have in case a key switch goes bad. Swap in a new switch, place the keycap back on and you’re back to doing whatever you need to do. The craftsmanship and look are top notch. I use the small on-board screen to show a different GIF every week to change things up. The on-board screen has many features that control keyboard lighting, audio volume, etc. I don’t necessarily use the G Keys but I can see many uses for them in the future to launch macros for video and photo editing. Others will use these G Keys for gaming as well. The Corsair Vanguard 96 Dual Tone can now be used with the iCue Software. Initially it only used Corsair’s web software which was ok but I recommend using the iCue Software especially if you have additional Corsair devices that use the iCue Software. Lighting on this keyboard is beautiful and really stands out in your office space. Overall, if this keyboard failed I would buy it again!

I absolutely love this Keyboard, as soon as I tested it in store, I fell in love with it. The feel, the quietness, the comfortability, and the size doesn’t take up that much space as a normal 98% keyboard would. If I were looking for a keyboard I’d 100% buy this again.

This is my first Corsair product; I have to say I am very impressed. I've never had a linear keyboard like this. I use it at work and I am thrilled it isn't as clicky as my previous keyboard, it is smooth and it looks really nice. Definitely recommend.

I've had the same keyboard and mouse for the last 3 years and even though they did not need to be replaced I was getting a little sick of them so when I saw this on display and felt it I knew I had to give it a fair shot. Sadly I found out very quickly that I could not adjust the sensitivity of the keys, although it does tell you that, it does not tell you that the Corsair app needed to control the lighting and screen sometimes just forgets you even have a keyboard and requires you to unplug the keyboard every time. Also the screen works half the time.

I upgraded from my old K70 and I was afraid of it feeling “cheap” in a way, mainly because the K70 was mainly metallic. However, all of my concerns were dispersed when I got this keyboard. The 96 feels just as beefy as my old keyboard and has all of the awesome features to boot. The typing is awesome and the sound it makes is so satisfying and smooth. The little screen is pretty cool, although it’ll take the software a couple of times to get the gif right. For my case, the gif would look like it was lagging or “low fps” if that makes sense. Resetting it would make the quality better, which is strange. It should just be a set it and forget it kind of thing, you know? It does work, but you may have to tinker with it just to get it right. Everything else about it is fantastic, I would highly recommend it.
