The A20X headset feels lightweight and comfortable on my head. The compact design sports a flexible detachable boom mic, RGB lighting on both cups, and multiple connectivity options. Wireless options include a Lightspeed USB dongle or Bluetooth. The headset can also be used tethered via USB. The headset is compatible with Xbox, Windows, Switch and PS5. It can also connect to mobile devices through Bluetooth. The ear cups feature a wireless connection button, Bluetooth button, volume rocker, power switch, mic mute button, and two user sound mode buttons. All buttons are easily findable and accessible during wear. The Lightspeed wireless USB dongle is larger than the typical small USB pluggable format. It plugs into a USB-A port on the device and has two separate USB-C output ports for Xbox/USB and PC/USB. Either port can be used for Switch or PS5. Status LEDs indicate which connectivity option is in use. The headset also works through Bluetooth, which I was able to easily connect to my PC using the cup mounted Bluetooth button. Both the dongle and Bluetooth have been reliable on console and PC with no noticeable latency nor loss of connectivity during gameplay. The headset can also be paired with multiple devices and quickly switched as needed. Sound quality on both Xbox Series X and a Windows gaming PC is great. The drivers have good clarity and volume. Bass is acceptably deep, and treble and mid are sharp and clear. Sounds are nicely isolated during gaming with distinct background and foreground separation that helps add to the overall immersive effect. Sound effects are accurately reproduced and sound realistic compared to real-world counterparts. Music sounds fantastic as well and can be enjoyed without compromise. There is no ANC but the cups block out a decent amount of environmental sound. However, if the environment is loud, it will bleed through. Mic quality is excellent. Remote parties say I sound clear and a voice recording playback confirmed this. My voice is clear, decipherable and has good volume. The detachable mic is flexible and has a red LED indicator that illuminates for visual confirmation when the mic is muted. Comfort is excellent for the most part. It is lightweight and never feels heavy or hot during wear. The soft foam padded cups mostly stay cool and have good breathability, but do get lukewarm occasionally. Never warm enough to be uncomfortable but warmer than the other areas of my head. The foam lined top headband is also comfortable and adjustable. I have a large round 7¾ hat size head and the headset fits me perfectly, even when wearing my thick or thin frame glasses with the headband at the default largest size. Battery life has been solid so far. I’ve been gaming off and on for several hours at a time over several days with the RGB enabled and haven’t had to recharge the headset yet. The headset recharges via USB-C when necessary. The G20X is a great midrange headset. It’s not quite as robust as its bigger sibling Pro X2 headset, but is a very nice and capable headset at a friendlier price point. It’s perfect for most home gaming needs and our household has had good success with Logitech Lightspeed G series headsets the past 5+ years. My daughter refuses to use any other brand or model after finding the “perfect” G series headset years ago. I’ve purchased it twice for her so far and it gets extremely heavy use every day. It almost never leaves her head when she's home but it has proven durable and worthy of the task. There may be some short-term early adopter pains because this headset is so new. For example, I mention the two mode buttons above in a generic manner because I have no clue what they do or whether they even work yet. There is zero online documentation available for this headset at the moment. Scanning the QR code inside the box currently returns a 404 page not found error. The headset also won’t connect to the G-Hub application because the software doesn’t detect the headset when I plug it in. I am unable to find any additional support options or software for this specific headset, but that should obviously change after the official rollout. Aside from the currently limited support options, I have no complaints with this headset and I like that it can connect to any of my devices. I’m accustomed to being forced to choose specific headsets for Xbox or PS5. It's great to have one that can seamlessly switch between the two consoles.

I recently got the Logitech G Astro A20 X LIGHTSPEED wireless headset and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its performance across my PS5 and Xbox Series X. Setup was a breeze—plugging the PLAYSYNC base into each console allowed seamless switching between systems with a single button press, eliminating the hassle of swapping cables. This feature alone makes it a standout for multi-platform gamers. The audio quality is exceptional, delivering crisp, immersive 24-bit wireless sound. In games like Call of Duty, positional audio cues like footsteps are precise, while open-world titles like Spider-Man 2 showcase booming, dynamic soundscapes. The detachable boom mic offers clear voice capture for team chats, with no noticeable background noise, or that’s what I’m told by my friends I’m online with, and the flip-to-mute functionality works well Comfort is another strong suit. Weighing 290 grams, the headset feels light during extended sessions, and the breathable fabric headband and cushioned earpads prevent fatigue or overheating, even after hours of play. Battery life is equally impressive, offering up to 90 hours without RGB lighting (around 40 with it enabled), meaning I’ve only needed to charge it once in a week of heavy use. The design is sleek but understated, resembling Logitech’s G Pro series with a professional, minimalist aesthetic. The customizable RGB lighting (with 16 million color options) adds a touch of personalization to match my setup, though the overall look leans more functional. at roughly $180, the A20 X LIGHTSPEED delivers outstanding value with its cross-platform versatility, stellar audio, and long-lasting comfort. I’d rate it a solid 9/10 for gamers seeking a reliable, high-quality wireless headset. Highly recommended.
