Sonos - Beam Ultra 7.1.2 Channel Wireless Smart Soundbar with Dolby Atmos - Black

Definitely a wider sound stage with the upfiring speakers. The bass as a standalone soundbar with some tweaking in the Sonos app is surprisingly good. But it really shines when used with a Sonos Mini Sub. The overall wider sound stage with the highs & mid range are clearer & the bass is tight from the mini sub, not boomy or murky. I did calibrate using TRUEPLAY. Used Netflix to test by watching different scenes from Top Gun Maverick and Godzilla Minus One. The upfiring speakers really blew me away when Godzilla roared & when the scenes of the jets flew in the canyon run in Top Gun. Then watched a 4K Ultra bluray movie, Shin Godzilla, which was superb as well. I'm happy with this Beam Ultra. The price was a bit steep but it's worth the cost. I sold one of my beam gen 2 soundbars to upgrade to this. If you're debating whether to buy it as a standalone don't hesitate because it does sound great with or without a mini subwoofer. Definitely recommend this Sonos Beam Ultra. It's the real deal for Dolby Atmos content & the clarity of speech is supersonically clearer which has different levels you can choose from in the Sonos App.

The Sonos Ultra Beam is absolutely amazing! The Dolby Atmos experience, with speakers positioned on top, is a significant improvement over the Beam 2.0 and creates a much more immersive listening experience. The sound quality is excellent and is perfectly suited to my room. Another great improvement is the addition of Bluetooth, which makes it much easier for friends to connect and play their own music without the hassle of downloading the app. This is a huge step forward in terms of convenience and usability. Overall, Sonos has made some fantastic improvements with this model. The sound quality, Dolby Atmos experience, and Bluetooth connectivity make it an outstanding product. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it!

Great sound and looks good. Paired this with two Era100s and a Sub Mini for great home theater sound without all the wires and amp. Very easy to set up through the app and the eArc input switches seamlessly between sources. I have an older tv with only Arc so I need an HDMI switch for an eArc port to get the Dolby Atmos signal from Apple TV 4K. I used an OREI switch. Love this system!

I bought the Arc and had to return it. It lacked the warmth of the beam gen 2. So then I decided to get the beam ultra. It’s better than the beam gen 2, not that the beam gen 2 was bad. If you love listening to music and love bass get the beam ultra. If you love dolby and watching movies get the arc ultra.

Sonos has created the perfect soundbar here - compact, capable, aesthetically pleasing, modular, etc. There is nothing on the market comparable in this price range. Highly recommend!
