I bought this chair since it looks like I am working from home for the foreseeable future and my old one was killing me. I am pleased with it. It’s very solid and it is easy to adjust, and it took less than an hour to put together. The seat is firm and comfortable, and I was skeptical about the pillows but they are great. I am a, ahem, LARGE lady, and I was concerned about the fit, but it is perfect all around and now my back doesn’t hurt at the end of the day. Also I love purple.
My only issue is with the arm rests. I like that they adjust so many ways, but the pad itself has an adjustable angle so it can turn in, out, or straight ahead, and it’s the only thing that doesn’t lock in place. If you put any weight on the arm at all, like to scoot closer to your desk, it will shift under your hand. It’s certainly not a deal breaker, at least to me, but it gets annoying.
Was difficult to set up, and the non-corrosive black paint got scraped a little in the process.
The adjustable arms sometimes move left, right, back and forth when I don't want them to, and the chair doesn't go low enough to allow me to fit under my desk.
All that aside, it can hold really big guys and it's comfortable, so I'm happy with it.
After trying to find a chair that offered everything I needed and wanted this is it. I’m a big girl and I wanted a chair that would last for a long time. When sitting in chair I don’t feel cramped or that I have to squeeze myself into. In fact, I almost feel like Lilly Tomlins character Edith Ann sitting in this chair but in a Star Trek universe
Just received the chair and I checked each piece with a flashlight. Just wanted to be sure nothing was damaged. Every thing looks good except I'm missing 2 screws that hold the side cover on the seat. I'll write to AKRacing about the screws. Hope they will send them to me.
This chair is replacing a Ewin Racing chair that's not even 2 years old. The recline mechanism broke and have contacted Ewin several times about my problem. They said yes it's broke but we don't have the part. It's been 3 months. Don't buy an Ewin Racing chair horrible customer service.
It's a stereotypical gamer chair, so it's certainly nice but it can get really uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time. The chair feels like it's made out of really solid parts and rolls easily on carpet, but really feels best when you're leaning back in it, which can make it hard to play some games.
Nice wide and firm chair; however.....
I wish the chair would seat lower to the floor than it does; and I wish the arm rests would've swiveled up and out of the way. Since the armrests constantly move, I just removed them from the chair completely. I also wish the assembly instructions were better; and included some words in the steps, instead of just pictures.
A:AnswerI would say yes it is wide and is a good chair if you have a bigger body. Im 5'5 320 lbs big hips and was concerned because it states its 15 inches wide, but its 23 and 1/2 at the widest point. I'll add a photo with some measurements that might be helpful in determining if this is something you want to get or not (give or take a 1/2 inch on some).
Hope this helps! Cheers!
