Good for the $$
|Posted .Unit is good, not great. The Bluetooth mic is not that great. The person on the other end of the call says it sounds like I'm in a tin can when stopped in traffic and when driving they cannot hear me. The Bluetooth streaming of music is good but using the aux feature is a much better sound. The manual doesn't explain a lot of the features, but was able to find more online. Had trouble with the sound when hooking up unit. Have a factory amp and I hooked up the antenna to power amp but when not using radio it shut off the amp, so I had to use the amp power blue, not the blue and white antenna. Overall for the price it's a good unit for a stock replacement. If going to use multiple amps and subs, I would get a better unit or get a crossover or an equalizer.

Not bad i guess
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendI purchased this as a replacement for an Alpine CD player that died. It plays fine, but the guys forgot to set the clock which is not easy to find, and I haven't gotten to the instructions on how to change it yet. It is pretty basic setting up the radio stations, it plays CDs without a problem, and we have had no problems for the USB or auxiliary output. I don't really like the Bluetooth speaker that came with it, because nobody can hear me at all on it. I guess it sounds a lot like I am talking into a pillow while being strangled by a garbage bag. Unfortunately, if my car is on and I am trying to one, the Bluetooth automatically turns on which is very annoying. It also does the same annoying trick if a call comes in and I tried to answer it. My old system had a neat function where you could change the light to come on and had better functions for changing the type of sound to match the music you were playing. So, for what I paid I guess it is ok, but it is not great

Great quality for reasonable price!
|Posted .Pros mentioned:Bluetooth, Features, PriceCons mentioned:Hard to seeI would recommend this to a friendA powerful unit with so many useful features. Very user friendly and a much brighter display than other models I considered. Take note that the display brightness is a pretty consistent complaint with these units because they can be hard to read in daylight. Not this unit! Strong amp brings crisp and clear sound! They only noticeable downside which is rather humorous is that my wife reports when she has the detachable face plate in her purse and is even in close proximity to the car an incoming phone call to her cell when still go through the unit's blue tooth service. I like this unit so much I am considering purchasing additional ones for my other vehicles.

No complaints
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWe have had a good experience so far with our receiver. We use it mostly for radio and USB functions and occasionally to connect to our smartphone using bluetooth and the accompanying microphone. Navigating through the folders on a usb flashdrive works well. Without having tested multiple speaker setups I would say the sound quality is adequate. No complaints in regard to phone conversations through the car speakers. We're satisfied with everything so far and felt we got a good value.

Great aftermarket head unit.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAlpine has been around for as long as I can remember and companies don't last that long without a good product. This is no exception. It works as advertised, plays cd's, wma's/MP3's, AM/FM, and also hooks up to your phone/ipod to play music you have on those. It charges that device as well.

Nice radio
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendPurchased this deck as a gift for a friend to replace a original radio in a 1999 toyota avalon. Most features are available on other radios in its price range, however, one thing sets this radio apart. Other radios in this price range only have a remote wire, but this also had a p cont wire that gets power with activation of am/fm. This allows control of the antenna position depending on audio source as opposed to it always being up whenever the radio is on. Highly recommend this radio if youre looking to integrate bluetooth in your older car that came equipped with a motorized antenna

Great, works awesome!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have this professionally installed at SoReal sound and they did a great job they did the soldering of the wires. The Bluetooth works great, USB AUX cable awesome, the detachable face faceplate is very convenient and the handy caring case, it's awesome so I have nothing but good things to say about this. There's a microphone that runs up to my sun visor, again, a great reason to have this professionally installed. I upgraded from a stock stereo that had CD only.
Q: QuestionWill people stop asking if it fits in their car?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I know the truth is painful but the answer is sincerely a "NO". This radio will fit any car all radios nav and etc. has the same principles of wiring connection. It doesn't change from vehicle to vehicle. If you really know electronics you can fit any radio on any car is not a big deal. it had been never been. And no this is not plug and play you need to know what you are doing to install it. So if you don't know anything about electronics or too little then no you may not be able to install it. The dimensions on this radio are standard if there is gap left on your car console buy a kit for the radio which will provide a blending between your dash console and this radio. Unless you have a very high end radio which use fiber optic for sound then this radio is not going to fit.

Q: QuestionBluetoothHow do I program the bluetooth to my I phone?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer While in your car, go into your iPhone Settings > Bluetooth, and turn on Bluetooth. On the Alpine CD deck, switch through the modes until it says BT Audio. On your iPhone, under Bluetooth again, hit Connect/Pair with device Alpine Receiver. The Alpine CD deck should display the prompt, "Pair? No." If you twist the volume knob to the right it will adjust the display to the prompt, "Pair? Yes." Then, scroll through the modes on the cd deck once more to get all the way back around to BT Audio. That ought to do it.
