Defective product
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hissing sound with first pair. After an onerous warranty fulfilment process, replacement was a different model, battery life is less than 2hrs, when working disconnects an unacceptable number of times. Charging case latching mechanism broke within a month. I have had a better experience with a much cheaper set of ear buds.

Good sound, lots of options for fit
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the True Evo Wireless Headphones while visiting my parents out of state. The BB in their community had them marked down for clearance and so I thought I would take a chance. Reviews from Internet sites were mixed but in my experience they have been very good. I use them for running and I have ruined other earbuds with my sweat but these so far have not been harmed by a summer's worth of sweat. I have had two experiences regarding holding a connection. My first phone had Bluetooth 4.2 and I would have dropouts on occasion. I moved my phone to my left side near the master ear bud and the dropouts decreased but did still occur. I upgraded my phone 2 weeks ago and my new phone has Bluetooth 5.0. I have not had any dropouts with the new phone. I do however wear it on my left side. Regarding fit there are ample ear tips and wings to try and fit the buds including foam tips (like Comply not sure if they are). I like the options for several reasons. First I am a runner and do not want to be completely isolated while running. I have been able to mix tips and wings that are secure yet allow me to be aware of my surroundings. I may give up some fidelity because I am not completely isolated audio wise, but I think they still sound very good and I can be safe. Second, one of my ear orifices is different than the other one, so the variety of tips allows me to find what best fits each ear. And if you are someone who does want to be shut off from the world I think you will be able to find the tips to do that. Phone calls. I have carried on several calls with these and for the most part people have been satisfied with the clarity. I am told I do sound at times like I am at a distance. Calls are only heard on the left ear bud. Nobody mistakes me for using a high end Jabra microphone headset but for my recreational purposes they have been more than adequate. Battery life. I have used them up to 4 hours and have yet to run out of charge so I do not know how long they will go. Random things to know about Evos. -Left is the master and the right pairs to it. -You have to turn them on, both of them, when you remove them from the battery case so they do not automatically pair like some. Not an issue for me. When you return the Evos to the battery case they automatically charge and turn off. -Volume control via phone not on ear buds. You can answer calls by clicking on the bud. One bonus feature--my pair came with a wireless charger. The wireless charger charges the case and my new phone. I have overall been very happy with my impulse buy of these "clearance" wireless buds. To be fair I likely would not have bought them at full price just because I would have considered other alternatives. Now that I own them I would likely buy again even at a higher price point.

Great sound quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are really good inexpensive ear phones. The bass is amazing especially when you get the ear phones to 'suction' to your ear, and the overall sound quality is great. Pairing multiple devices is ok. I had to unpair them from my phone so that I could pair them with my Mac. Of course since I use these with my phone more than my Mac, they pair with my phone first. I have to switch over, but it's a simple step. My biggest pet peeve is that the I've had to replace them because the left ear phone malfunctioned to the point where there's basically no sound coming from it. If you listen closely enough, there is sound, but it's so low you can't tell when you have both in and the right plays fine. So I contacted Altec Lansing directly after having Best Buy replace them and they sent me a new pair. Now almost a year later, I'm having the same exact issue. The left side sound is almost inaudible. That can't be a coincidence that each time it's the left that goes out. I can't be the only one with this problem. Needless to same, I'm ordering a set of true-wireless earphones made by another brand. I really like the Altec Lansing ear phones, but I don't want to keep calling them about this issue.

Great sound!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The audio from these headphones are the best I've ever experienced from any earphones I've every used. The bass is absolutely amazing. Though these aren't nose canceling earphones, they pretty much cancel out any ambient noise, since they kind of suction to the ear canal. The only complaint is that I can't take a phone call. And once I take the phone call I have to unpair the earphones from my phone (or turn them off) and re-pair them to continue to listen to my music. It seems like a small issue, but it gets really annoying sometimes. Also, I had to exchange the original pair I bought because the casing cracked somehow. I have no clue how this happened, I just all of a sudden had sound issues where the right earbud would intermittently go out, then I saw the casing was cracked, which I figured out was causing the sound issue. Other than that, I think these earphone are great. I just need them to be able to allow me to take phone calls before I give them 5 stars.

Good sound, MAYBE uncomfortable fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had first read the reviews which I now will no longer base any purchasing decision off of ever again. The bonus wireless base for the rechargeable case that the left and right devices set in works quite well. As per the instructions, they seem to do exactly what they say they will do., meaning when the two ear buds are fully charged, the indicator lights will turn blue for a split second, (not noticeable unless you are staring at it), then it simply shuts off to indicate a completely full charge. I noticed that since the right unit is what they call the master unit, it has a dual indicator light, (blue, red flashing light to indicate connectivity/functionality. Each ear but, has only one button on each, which for some might be quite simple to simply pause and resume music if you need to listen to safety instructions or other any important information if you are using these at an employment assignment or a job site. When you pause the music, it is quite effortless to listen to other around you, including any and all emergency notifications that might occur, as the design of the replaceable, different sizes, ear plugs will ALLOW ALL ambient noises to be understood. Even though, this headset has only one button on the device limiting direct one touch functionality, at least for myself, it was fine. I was in an environment to be able to turn it off and listen to important instructions from coworkers and management with great ese and one simple light touch on the right ear piece, which the button was VERY easy to function. No jamming in to your ear. BIG TURN OFF- For comfort in the long run, I highly encourage you to read the following. Each person ear of course will have many different physical aspects, so this is EXTREMELY important to know because this is one of the two major reasons, I chose to refund these within days. As soon as you buy them, please charge them fully. Then, so as not to inadvertently pass the mandatory return policy, there are many different gels to test out. PLEASE. Try each out for at least 1 full day for at least 4 hours constant in your ear as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, every design ended up hurting my ear over a few hours. I encourage you to KEEP THE RECIEPT, BOX, however, depending on your specific circumstance, always get them the benefit of the doubt, because I not even lose to the know all be all of existence on being a way too critical patience. I sincerely hope this assists you on your purchase.

Great sound vs price point but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start this by saying that I have purchased and used a lot of different wireless earbuds. A lot! The AL True EVO are in the top 10. Really great sound; full spectrum of highs, mids and low end. Battery life is decent, 3 solid hours so I’d keep the case for long days. The fit is great when you get the correct ear tip. The downside; the BT connection. I literally have to keep my phone in a coat pocket vs my pants pocket due to the lack of range. On the train, no issue. When I come out from underground, breaks in the connection that lead to holes in whatever I’m listening to. The saving grace is the price point. Until I find the perfect wireless earbuds, and so know they’re out there, these’ll do.

Poor Connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a Best Buy employee, so I got these for even cheaper than the listed price. That being said, I still returned them. I never had a problem with the sound quality or battery life, I felt that both were great for the price. My biggest complaint about this item is the bluetooth connectivity. I run often, and I am able to pair my headphones to my Vivoactive Smartwatch. While I'd be running, my watch would maintain a great connection, but when I dropped my arms while I'd be resting, the connection would become choppy and cut in and out. The same thing would happen with my phone. If I put my phone in my back pocket, the headphones would start to lose the connection. Great headphones, but maybe hold off on getting this pair unless you're going to have your phone strapped to your bicep everytime you use them.
