Bought one for both my husband and myself. We use them almost daily. Easy to pack and carry on vacations. Easy to see and read text in all kinds of light.

Really happy with my purchase!! East to use. I already tested if it was really waterproof which is great.

This is my first e-reader. I researched them before I made the purchase and decided this one was my best option. The books are easy to upload and screen can be adjusted to read in any light. You can also make the font any size. Battery does last for as long as the ad states, too. I just love this Kindle

Comfortable to hold and is easy to read in a darkened room or in bright sunlight. A great improvement over the older Kindle readers.

Finally gave in and bought a Kindle. I love holding a book and not being distracted by IMs, text messages and the like on my mobile devices. BUT this makes reading just as enjoyable. Now I don’t have to lug around a book and saves much needed space when traveling. Did it take me so long to convert?

I like this device. The only advertisement I get is on the Lock Screen and it’s just advertising another book. It’s not bothersome at all. It doesn’t have color, so all of your colors are in black and white. I bought a cover for it on Amazon that protects the screen. I take it with me everywhere. When I’m at appointments and have to wait it’s a great time to read. It’s a good size and perfect for holding comfortably.

I've had this device for about 3 weeks. Easy to use. I love it. However when I received it I has not at all happy. It was dirty and used. It had not even been restore to factory settings. Thing is I did not buy a pre-owned one! I was very disappointed. Would recommend the device just not the store.

My only hesitation in giving this review is padding Amazon’s pockets, but this Kindle Paperwhite is a great little e-reader/tablet. I had a 6th generation Kindle and traded it in for this, and I have found this to be easy to use and a delight to read. The screen is backlit and its brightness is adjustable for whatever light you are in. It is however, a “blue light” like that which comes from a computer or smartphone screen, so if you don’t want the light source to affect your sleep, read with a booklight anyway. Fonts- type and size-- are adjustable also. Highlighting is a breeze with its touchscreen: start with the word you want and move the indicators to identify the part you want to highlight. Battery life is excellent; I haven’t charged mine for over a week and I'm at about 85% (I didn’t get too much reading in this week, though..)and have no worries about having to hurry up and plug it in. I’m not exactly sure how much storage I have but I do know it’s at least doubled from my previous Kindle. It’s light and thin so it fits into my purse easily. I’m very happy with this purchase and enjoy reading from this Kindle more than from my previous one. You can pick up an inexpensive cover online; mine turns the Kindle Paperwhite on when you open it, then it instructs you to swipe the screen to begin reading. The menu on the upper margin allows you to check settings, and see your library. The only downside is the ads for more books, but I’ve found they are consistent with my interests. You never know -- you might find something good on sale. Amazon has done a good job designing this reader that doesn’t require a light, doesn’t need a clunky arrow and button to spell words out or to make your selections. It’s easy to use, and a delightful way to read and expand one’s library.
