The beast has arrived and it's "HOT"!!!

This thing is a beast.. It gobbles up anything I throw at it and is primed and ready for more. Runs quite a bit hotter than i'm used 2 but that's fne I will b getting an AIO for it because yeah I don't wanna have to deal with thermal issues down the line and this little puppy is waaaay hot.. It actually heats up my room which in the winter will be a bonus. I won't be upgrading my CPU anytime soon but I may just be upgrading my ram because this thing needs it.

    Amazing CPU

Wooooah......thats FAST! What a killer cpu, definitely overkill for anything I would be doing but my customer is gonna love his PC with this processor. I gotta say it runs pretty hot so be sure to have adequate cooling and definitely play around with PBO/Curve Optimizer as it can make a huge difference.

    Its a beast!

No more bottle necks! This thing is a beast. It pairs well with the 3060 12gb. I use my pc for gaming and multi-streaming to Twitch and YouTube and i have no issues streaming anything. I will have to get a new case so i can out a 360mm AIO in it. It runs at about 50-70° under load with a 240mm AIO.

    a hot beast

Love this cpu, it's ridiculous, frivolous, overkill... but so is everything else in my case. runs hot af though, easily hits 80c under synthetic load even with a good aio so I would very much recommend water cooling

If you have the budget, buy it! Workstation BEAST

This processor is a complete workhorse for demanding applications like running all of the Adobe creative cloud apps simultaneously, it’s rendering performance is fantastic and compared to the 5800x even the previous generation 3950x it just demolishes everything. If you have the budget, buy this. (From a content creators point of view/workstation- I have no “gaming” experience or feedback)

Questions & Answers

  • will this work well with a b550 tomahawk max wifi? GPU is a 4070 super. I'm looking to upgrade from a 3950x to rhis 5950x. i was wondering if i needed to change motherboard as well or just the CPU

Based MSI's website, it should be supported: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B550-TOMAHAWK-MAX-WIFI/support#cpu

  • Is there a way to get on the waiting list to buy this CPU?

It would be nice if BestBuy did this and only allowed you to buy one..Per address/credit card/Bestbuy account

  • When will they be in stock

Once every hundred thousands years or so, when the grass is green and the moon doth glow.

  • Can this website get fixed can’t pickup or mail when trying to buy this for the 5 th time now

No. bestbutt is unwilling to change to accommodate its customer's needs because it makes too much money selling products to scalpers. all it would take is a simple captcha at checkout or a limit on purchase orders. we've been waiting months for new pc parts and they don't seem to care. neither do the manufacturers since they are just at fault here. the whole system is rigged so that these companies meet their bottom lines while their customers get shafted.

  • How about a pre order/pre bought list to buy a AMD 5950x CPU vs the BOT-Scalpers. You should care enough to let the rest of us normal people get ours shipped before posting inventory for the scalpers. HOW ABOUT CARING a little mates, GEEK SQUAD FIX THIS!
