My wife and I were ready to upgrade our phones this year after having the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus for the last few years. We were able to upgrade during the window of getting an $800 credit for our 8's, so the deal was hard to pass up. We are both so glad we did.
The difference between the 12 (the phone my wife got) and the 12 Pro (the phone I got) is impossible to see when looking at the front of the phone (we regularly get our phones swapped), and they perform very similarly in most regards. I got the 12 Pro because of the camera (which really is phenomenal; see my review for the iPhone 12 Pro), but the 12 is excellent in its own rite.
You can read hundreds of reviews on most of the features, so I won't go into great detail in this review, but there are a few highlights to point out.
The camera, while not at the level of the 12 Pro, is really excellent. It's hard to take bad photos with the phone, as the software does a lot behind the scenes making each photo really pop.
The phone is also really fast. I didn't feel like the 8 was especially slow (though it started to lag a bit toward the end), but the 12 is blazing fast. It's not flawless, and it has a few glitches from time to time, but it's really easy and smooth to use.
The size is a perfect transition from the 8 to the 12. It is actually slightly smaller in body but a much bigger screen. My wife has smaller hands, so the size really matters. We expected she'd want the 12 mini, but after feeling the size of each, she opted for the 12. It's very comfortable for her, and the screen size was well worth the larger size.
The design is really pretty. I have the Pacific Blue iPhone 12 Pro, and it is a truly beautiful phone. But, the Blue iPhone 12 is very bold and very good looking. I was surprised that she went with blue; usually she's gone for lighter colors on her phone. But, she saw the blue and loved the boldness of it. Apple did an excellent job with picking the colors of this generation of phones.
There are a ton of other things to love about this phone, but again, you can read a lot about it from other sources. But, bottom line, it's an excellent phone, especially if you're upgrading from a phone as far back as the 8 or earlier.
I’m delighted with my iPhone 12 Mini because I wanted a phone that would fit in my shirt pocket. With the smaller notch and lack of a Home button, I have a smaller sized phone with a larger screen — which fits an extra row of icons. The Mini has the same fast processor and OLED screen type as its larger siblings, so it didn’t cut back on capabilities. The one noted cutback is the smaller battery, but I don’t game or stream on my phone, so its shorter battery life has not been an issue for me as I charge less than once a day. Haven’t tested the other improvements, like the supposed stronger glass (I still use a protective case and screen overlay), improved water resistance, 5G, etc.
It takes a little bit of getting used to the lack of a Home button. Face ID doesn’t work with a mask on, but hopefully that issue will be remedied later this year as the COVID vaccine rolls out.
Sales attendant very patient, courteous and thoroughly answered my many questions. Explained the phones features and after purchasing the accessories, placed the screen protector and case on properly.
Left feeling very satisfied with information transferred to the new phone.
Upgraded from iPhone 6 to iPhone 12, so far this has been a good choice for me. Battery life improved when I went into the settings and made a few adjustments. Haven’t tried the camera yet, however the iPhone 12 does everything I need it to and seems to do it flawlessly in 5G.
Purchased new Apple I-12 with all accessories! But the only reason I bought all the items was because of the sales staff. Being the retired Director of Personnel and Recruiting and Distribution Manager for a Fortune Five Hundred Auto Parts Company I am always looking for and impressed by sales staff that know how to treat the public. Boy you have several Excellent folks selling at 1170Van Dr, Jackson,Tn. Mainly Nukig Lewis, Bailey Jackson, most of all a young man who at a minimum should be a in Store Management (Zach Cole), he was Outstanding .
I went from iphone 8 Home button to no button. still getting use to it.
my hands are small so when i'm gripping it with one hand my other fingers touch the screen while I try to interact with something else on the screen making it not interact cause my other fingers touching it. But i don't wanna a smaller screen so i deal with it.
so far not bad but it has only been about a week but if I don't review I keep getting emails. I have two emails telling me for a review of this product.

Apple iPhone 12 review: The best iPhone for most peopleApple has four new iPhones, but one draws the most people: The iPhone 12. It offers incredible value and calls into question how many people should buy a Pro.
iPhone 12 will help smartphone shipments grow 50% this quarter – DigitimesA Digitimes Research report predicts that smartphone shipments are likely to grow more than 50% year-on-year this quarter, with the iPhone 12 responsible for a significant chunk of that growth. The firm estimates that Apple will ship more than 60M
You can trade your phone in but it will be with Best Buy and what they offer for a trade in not AT&T. Go on to BB website and do a trade in calculation to see what you could get. Do the trade in first and use the gift card they give you on your phone purchase. If you want to do the trade in via AT&T you can mail it in but the trade in value will be different.
A:AnswerNo. If you choose AT&T, it is carrier locked. Carrier locked means that you can only use it on that carrier's network. Best buy does not have an unlocked option. If you buy directly from Apple (https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-12) you can buy the unlocked phone for $30 more than regular price. (That's the same price as from Cricket)
A:AnswerSure, you better hurry...based on timing you should be able to get $350 trade credit which will be applied to your bill. It may take upwards of three months to sort out the changes but I just traded-in a iPhone SE (2nd Gen) and got $350 reduced from the payment plan...Yippie. You'll maybe may one normal payment then the rate will change once the changes catch up
