A: Yes, this would be a high end option for college. I would recommend if they are going into graphic design, media, or something editing heavy. Otherwise, if it’s just general stuff for class the MacBook Air would be more than sufficient.
A: Technically, "yes", but, The 14″ Pro can be configured with M4 Pro (12‑ or 14‑core CPU, 16‑ or 20‑core GPU). CPU: identical for base M4. GPU: the Pro’s base GPU is beefier (10 cores) than the Air’s entry option (8 cores) The differences between the 14″ MacBook Pro (Apple M4) and the 13″ MacBook Air (Apple M4) aren’t just size and resolution—there are important distinctions in processor options, display tech, cooling, port selection, battery... So yes, same base CPU, but the Pro brings much more in GPU, display, cooling, and expansion. (keep in mind that the Air is fanless, so it will perform less than the MB Pro)

A: "Good quality" for what? I.e., what will you be printing? And how much will you be printing? A recent trend (some years now) has been tank systems instead of cartridges. I print things infrequently (can be months between uses from needing to print just a few pages or hundreds) and a tank system has been reliable whereas cartridge systems weren't.
