My apple watch
Owned for 1 month when reviewed.

Great watch. The cellular functionality is awesome
Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.
I'm very happy with my Apple Watch purchase. I got it primarily for fitness tracking, but am enjoying the additional features. I wasn't 100% sure about the cellular functionality before buying, but now I consider it essential functionality. There are always times when carrying a phone isn't convenient or practical and the watch works great in these situations.
The only complaint I have is that some apps when left in the background seem to drain the battery. I've gotten more dillegent about closing these apps, but I do wish WatchOS handled this a little better.
My Apple Watch is an upgrade from a version 2. This one is a lot better in terms of the size of the screen, but I am not getting as much battery life out of it as I hoped. I do love the cellular feature though!
Love my watch, I have wanted one for years and was finally able to buy one due to my gift certificates from Best Buy for my appliances. I have everything I need on my wrist to keep me moving and connected.
My favorite AppleWatch so far but it’s because it’s waterproof for most part which is great, bigger 45mm face and obviously all the health benefits etc. I’ll be using a yearly or every 2 year upgrade now on both my iPhone and AppleWatch
Texts don't always come through with Verizon, but overall this was a good purchase. It keeps track of the things I'm interested in and helps me achieve my daily activity goals. I didn't get the subscription to Apple workouts, so can't comment on those.

A:AnswerAs it is marked as GPS + Cellular, it has the necessary hardware to have its own cellphone line. It just means you don't need to carry your iPhone with you to make a call via this watch. I have a GPS only Apple Watch and when the iPhone is nearby and connected via Wifi?Bluetooth I can answer the call via my watch. Kinda sorta like Dick Tracy's 2-Way wrist TV. Well...kinda. Not sorta. LOL!
Either version of this watch will serve you well. So far, I don't really miss not having a watch that is also a standalone cell phone as I have my iPhone with me most of the day. And yes. The extra phone line for the watch will cost your whatever you carrier charges for another line.
A:AnswerBoth tell the time. The main difference that I’ve seen (never actually had an android watch) is the proprietary that apple has on the watch. What I mean by this is while you have players in the android based phones both tech and luxury brand names making smart watches, apple restricts fundamental capabilities where google doesn’t.
The reason to buy apple is if you own multiple apple products, it seamlessly communicates with those product to help you tackle tasks effortlessly.
A few features use daily:
- Apple TV remote
- unlocks MacBook when watch is being warn and unlocked
- Apple Pay at checkout
- just started fitness + and it’s ALOT better than I thought it would be. Bringing this up because it natively communicates with you watch
Android phones can be used with apple products but requires apps to be running in the background and the full feature suite just isn’t there for them.
