Superb dark fantasy
After the overwhelming light-heartedness that characterised the first series of Atlantis, these six episodes of series 2 are something of a shock. Gone is most of the jokiness and in its place is a well-made, dark fantasy with a high body count and superb location filming, with lots of moving scenes. The darker tone started in the last few episodes of the first series and continues apace here. I only wish the BBC could have sprang for some extras or for a 5.1 audio mix.
Great series if you love action and mythical shows
I started watching this series by buying the 1st season and loved it so much I could't wait to get the second season too....I do wish they wouldn't separate a season into two pieces though....you get half of it sooner, but it costs more in the long run than buying it all together.If you really want it it's worth it though, I guess.
This was a fun series to watch with family. Dialog fun. First season very light and you get to know the characters, 2nd season a lot more challenges for the characters and much darker, but still very fun to watch.
