CWM8.3 D is a three-way in-wall loudspeaker, conceived to offer the very best performance for a customer requiring great sound without seeing the source. Performance is equivalent to the 804 D4 in-room speaker from the 800 Series Diamond. Its 1-inch tweeter, 5-inch midrange driver and two 7-inch bass drivers deliver clear, dynamic sound, and the stiff yet light construction ensures distortion-free sound. This Bowers & Wilkins in-wall speaker can be used either horizontally or vertically for versatile placement. Use of BB8.3W Back Box is mandatory. Fully Matrix braced, for extra rigidity and improved performance the back boxes feature bi-wireable cables that connect to the baffle electronically with a multi-pin connector. These outstanding tranducers, when combined with high-quality, optimised, components on the crossover and a critically formed baffle constructed from glass reinforced ABS plus its own integrated backbox, produce a truly remarkable in-wall speaker. The CWM7.4 S2 is a high-performance in-wall speaker for use in theater and stereo applications. When used in a theater, the design can be wall-mounted in the left, center and right speaker positions, and the CWM7.4 S2 can also be mounted beside, above or below the screen, ensuring crystal-clear dialogue and dramatic special effects. The Quick Dog mounting system makes installation a breeze . Its 2.5-way configuration features a single Carbon Dome tweeter, twin 4" Continuum cone midrange units and twin 4" Aramid Fiber/paper bass cones.
