Great value for the price
||Posted .The window mount that originally came with our GPS broke so we needed a replacement. We found the exact replacement at Best Buy.com, but it also came with other accessories that we didn't need and brought the price up to around $40. This mount was much less expensive and much more flexible in that you can adjust the holder so that it can be used for a variety of devices, even the iphone. The originall mount kept the GPS within inches of the window. The new mount has an arm that gives it more flexibility where you can bend it to better position the device, but the flexible arm also results in the device jiggling up and down a bit while you are driving. The original mount was much smaller so I often left it on the window when not using the GPS. The new mount is much larger and really sticks out.. not something you'd really want sticking out when you are not using your device, but also since it jiggles and rattles when there is not a device attached. Still.. it was a good deal. I read the reviews and read about the jiggling and received exactly what I expected to get.

Good Value for the Price
||Posted .I bought the Bracketron - Pro-Series Universal Window Mount for my older Mazda which does not have a GPS. I set my personal phone in it and use it as a GPS with any number of applications available. The price is good for the product. I believe it was less than $20. The mount was easy enough to install on the window, as most are, but the adjustment that allows you to place smaller or larger devices into it did not work properly after a few uses. I supposed it would be fine if I only used a GPS. But since I use my phone, I am placing it in, and taking it out with most every road trip. If you are just placing a GPS into it, and leaving it installed, this is a good product.

Good windshield mount
||Posted .Was searching for a windshield mount that would hold an iPhone inside an OtterBox case. Went to Best Buy looking for some mounts and there wasn't much of a selection. Had researched online and there were a couple I was interested in and this wasn't one that I saw. This device did however meet my other requirement of being 360 degrees adjustable with an extendable arm. It's worked pretty well, but has come off my windshield a couple of times while I was trying to adjust. I may just need to clean the area on my windshield and clean the suction cup, like many of these mounts require. The one thing I did notice is if I put the mount on the windshield a certain way there was a squeaking sound when I was driving due to the phone moving around. I reversed how I put it on and that seemed to solve the issue, for now. Otherwise it a good purchase for the price. Was on sale for $15, so definitely got what I paid for.

does the job
||Posted .It does the job of holding my phone while I use it as a gps and charge it. The adjustable clamps are good too for not pressing the buttons on the side of my phone ore holding larger devices. Plus it allows for clearance of my usb charger on the side of my phone. The only thing I'm dissatisfied with is the amount of side to side swing ( maybe about 1/2 an inch in either direction when the flexible arm is bent at about 75 degrees) its not intolerable but annoying. I do wish the arm was a few inches longer to make reaching it easier but otherwise I got it on sale for less then %20 so I'm content.

Works as advertised
||Posted .I use this to attach my iPhone to my car's windshield so I can use Goodle Maps for navigation and have easier access to music stored on the device. It works as advertised. It is reasonably priced. My experience is that the flexible neck which connects the device cradle to the suction apparatus is a little bit too long for my vehicle. It may be just right, or not, for your car. Nevertheless, I use the window mount frequently to take advantage of Google maps, which I prefer to almost all commercially available GPS based navigation systems.

A sturdy product that is easy to use.
||Posted .I replaced an old, cheaper flimsy window mount with this product - a definite case of "you get what you pay for". This one is much more sturdy, easy to readjust (though not when driving) for good driver visibility, and has a nice release button that simplifies release from the window. The side "braces" make it easy to insert, tighten and release my phone; the bottom supports also adjust easily so that my volume and power buttons are freed from the side braces. All in all, a good buy for the money.

Does what it's designed to do.
||Posted .I've owned Bracketeon in the past and have had pretty good luck. The suction cup works well until it becomes over 100 or under freezing. After awhile the mechanism that expands the sides seems to fail requiring the use of both hands to get it open. More of a nuisance that anything. Easily adjusts to the angle you choose and stays there. All in all the better choice for this type of product.

Love this product
||Posted .I love this product and it does what it is suppose to do and makes it easier to view my phone as a gps. However, this product is hard to get it stuck to the window the first time and it will occasionally fall of the window and my phone occasionally fall out if I try to set the gps on the phone while in this unit.

Q: QuestionWill it hold TomTom 1605?dimensions are 6 1/4 X 4 1/4. Will it fit?
Asked by Fran.
- A:Answer The Universal Window Mount uses our Grip-iT Holder to mount your GPS or Smartphone. The Grip-iT is capable of expanding to 4 1/2" wide. You will want to position the Grip-iT on the top and bottom of your GPS. Feel free to email us at support@bracketron.com if you have any other questions. Thanks, Bracketron Support

Q: Questiondoes it work for Garmin Nuvi 30
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You can expand it so it can hold anything from between 1 1/2 inches wide to 4 1/2 inches wide. It actually goes a bit beyond 4 1/2 inches wide (maybe an extra 1/8th) and has rubber edging that is approximately 1/4" wide on each side giving you a smidgeon of extra room if needed. The bottom has two legs that your device sits upon but the top is opened.. so it doesn't really matter how tall your device is. We are also using it with a Garmin Nuvi GPS, but it's a 200W series.

Q: QuestionAttaching the deviceI am assuming this device will not leave any marks on the vehicle. I have smooth wood grain surface to attach the holder and want to make sure it will not mark the finish.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer We mount it on our window and other than the smudge from the rubber suction cup it's left no other makrs. However, we also have a wood grain surface on our dashboard to which we wanted to mount the device, but it would not attach. I believe it's because our surface is not flat enough (being slightly rounded at the edges) and not wide enough. We own a 2007 BMW 328xi. If you google it, you may get an idea of the size of the wood grain surface I'm speaking about.
