Writer-director François Ozon’s searing psychological drama is based on the case of Father Bernard Preynat – the man responsible for France’s most notorious church sex abuse scandal to date. In present-day Lyon, a married man’s memories of being sexually abused when he was a boy scout awakens when he realises that the priest responsible for them continues to work with children.
