Great game w/ issues
||Posted .It’s a great game in general. Multiplayer is the best in years IMO and add in the BR Blackout and Zombies and it’s one of the best out but the servers suck and the game freezes a lot so it only gets 3 stars.

No campaign, no problem.
||Posted .One of my biggest concerns with Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 what's the fact that they were removing the campaign. However have to plan the game for the last 48 hours, I see it is not needed. The game play mechanics and upgrades over Black Ops 3 or simply amazing. There is no wall running so it's more boots on the ground and I believe that pays homage to the Call of Duty Roots more than ever. there's so many different game modes so many different game styles that you always have stuff to do. Blackout wow, think of it as she but with a smooth frame rate. This is territory that I never thought Call of Duty sink its teeth in. But it was well worth the bite. You can literally spend hundreds of hours playing black out and not get tired of it. The level design and the occlusion of former maps from previous Call of Duty's all makes up the Battle Royale gigantic landscape. There was no new mechanics to learn because it felt just like Call of Duty from the past. Even joining a squad with random people who I've never met, I still enjoyed the experience. There was no Lone Wolf tactic, we worked as a team and it showed when we receive the victory. With the inclusion of zombies that just makes something for everybody. I've never been a fan of the zombie mode, but from what I've played so far it really shines. Each character that you encounter has a little story line. That brings depth to the people that you come across with in the game mode. Call of Duty Black Ops for refreshing breath of air into the series. Can't wait for the updates and DlC the further expand my experience with the game. Thank you Treyarch and Activision for delivering once again. This game is a must buy for any first-person shooter, Call of Duty fan, or gamer that just want to have fun or competitive like myself.

Awesome but requires Commitment
||Posted .Owned for 10 months when reviewed.Otherwise, this is definitely the latest in a long line of games, and it has a ton of interesting tweaks, but also they got rid of a lot of things that could be seen as more immediately "accessible". This is definitely that sort of permanently online, collection-oriented kind of game. There's no real single player, just some expanded training tutorials for each "character", and then all the Zombies stuff. It's all super detailed and amazing, it's just that you need to play a lot to unlock a LOT of the game. Starting out, in regular multiplayer, you can only pick a "character" and from a stock set of loadouts. Each "character" comes with their 3 "abilities", which 1 of them is just a health boost, for everyone. So everyone really only has 2 unique "abilities". The more "kills" you get, the faster the base "ability" will reload, and then eventually your enhanced "ability" will be available. There's also noticeable speed differences between characters and loadouts, which has things lean a little bit like an "Overwatch" style of game, but still "Call of Duty". After 5 or 10 level-ups in regular multiplayer, you get to make your own loadouts, and then you start unlocking new weapons, and then you have to play with each weapon to unlock new attachments for it. So if you want a silencer on a pistol, you have to get a bunch of pistol "kills" first. So it forces you to use the weapons that you want to upgrade, instead of some of the previous games that just gave you blanket upgrades to unlock and attach. So it's pushing you more into the RPG style of having to train/practice in the skill that you want to be "better" at, by unlocking more features of just that skill.
