A: Coming from a T2i, either camera will be an amazing difference for you. The 5DIV shoots at 7fps while the 7DII shoots at 10fps, so on raw frames per second the 7DII wins. The AF system on the 5DIV is much newer and sophisticated, so on that point the 5DIV is the winner. 5DIV can also autofocus at f/8 with most focus points active, whereas I believe the 7DII can only focus using center focusing point - this might be a factor if you're shooting long distance sports with a teleconverter. The 5DIV has much better image quality, better sensor, much better video capabilities, and is obviously a newer camera, so for a good balance this is the best camera of those two you're looking at. However, if you are more interested in sports than anything else, you should look at buying a used Canon 1DX (Mark I) body. They are selling for around $3,000 and even less, so a little cheaper than buying the 5DIV and you get 12fps, pro rugged body, and stellar AF. So while you're not asking for it, here's my recommendation: Mostly sports - 1Dx Balance of sports/portraits/landscape - 5DIV Mostly portraits/landscape - 5DsR Budget mostly sports - 7DII Budget mostly portraits/landscapes - 6D Good luck!
A: The camera body comes with a Canon battery. The "included free" battery is aftermarket.

I upgraded from a Canon 4000D (T100) crop camera to this incredible 5D full frame camera and consider it one of the best purchases I've ever made, considering the cost. PROs: 1. Value for the money. 2. Canon's high quality standards make this "the" camera among many other choices. 3. Ergonomics - feels great in the hand, easy to reach buttons and dials when needed. 4. Easy to use menu system, which provides many powerful features. 5. Large touch screen makes it super easy to target subjects, change ISO/Shutter Speed/Aperture settings on the fly. 6. Takes both compact flash and SSD cards. 7. Long battery life (even more with the BG-E20 battery grip accessory). 8. Takes an AC power supply option. 9. Huge assortment of prime and telephoto zoom EF lenses to choose from. 10. Very large operator's manual, and definitely worth reading it. CONs: 1. No built-in flash. 2. Heavy - even heavier with the BG-E20 battery grip (as great an accessory that it is). 3. Hard to reach/adjust viewfinder diopter.

The touch screen features make this camera body incredibly convenient. As well as it's build in wi fi capability. As far as weight it is a heavier body than the 60D which is a crop sensor frame. This again is a convenient camera, especially considering that Apple has not yet updated their software to support RAW files from the Mark IV. The fact that you can print RAW files at 16x20 without any pixel distortion is amazing. I can use my iPhone to shoot photos, change any settings and preview photos from inside my toasty warm vehicle in the dead of winter catching the Northern Lights. The speed at which it can take a photo when you tap the screen is impressive- although it is even faster when not in screen view mode. I love all of the new point options for focus targets. All the photos are with the Canon EF 11-24mm lens with no lens filters and MOBILE quality as the only downfall is I can not yet open any RAW files on my desktop until there's been updates to support them.

Upgrade from the Canon Rebel T6 to the Canon 5D Mark IV and I am very happy with my choice! Most professionals are going with mirrorless camera bodies but I feel that the colors that the 5D Mark IV are unbeatable. Easy to use and love the touchscreen function.
