Great Mirrorless Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this camera kit for about a month. It is easy to use and takes excellent pictures. I switched from a point and shoot camera with a wide focal range. I have not had an SLR since my film days pre-2000, so I have to get use to switching lenses again. The touch screen makes it easy to adjust the settings and to see the outcome immediately on the screen. As other reviews indicated pre-purchase, the battery life is not great so an extra battery is almost essential.

A nice entry level mirrorless camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from a DSLR to this mirrorless and I am happy with my decision. Being mirrorless allows this camera to be more compact and lightweight, which is nice for travelling and taking photos around my city. The touch screen is very responsive and nice for beginners who want to adjust settings in real time. What you see on the screen is what the photo will look like, which is great. If you want more control outside the automatic settings, you have the option to manually change different settings as well. The build is pretty decent, and it fits well in my hands. The touch screen feels solid and I feel confident moving it without worrying about possibly breaking it. The only downside I see so far is the battery life. You should definitely consider buying an extra battery if you go with this camera. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and you should definitely consider this if you are looking for a good entry level mirrorless camera.

My first camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Completely satisfied! This is my first ever camera and it is very user friendly, lightweight and easy to use. I am happy I choose the lens kit because it really shows you the difference in lens. Living in the rural area of the state I had to order it online with Best Buy and their shipping was incredible. I got it within two days.

Average camera serves its purpose
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this camera for taking sporting event pictures. The camera is super light and easy to use, but I wish the zoom feature was a little more crisp. If the lighting is not perfect then the pictures are average quality. Overall, if you aren’t looking to break the bank or be a professional photographer then this is a good camera

Finally decided to upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Canon shooter for quite awhile, and for the past 10-15 years, I mainly used the Canon G-series point & shoots. Decided it was time to go back to ILC cameras and decided to go with the EOS M50. So far, I'm having a great time shooting with this camera rekindling my love of photography. Picture quality is superb, and being quite familiar with Canon, I've had no issues getting used to the camera. Size and weight are just right. I only wish Canon would weather-seal their lenses and cameras in this class of camera. I ended up picking up an EF 35mm f/2.0 prime lens and adapter and really like the combination.

Q: QuestionWhat is the battery life for this camera? In full battery how many shots can we take?
Asked by DP.
- A:Answer I would say that the best you can get is about 300 shots out of a full battery charge with this camera, especially if you view the images after taking them. The battery, to me, is somewhat underpowered for what the camera is capable of in the level of performance. As with every camera you should always have a fully charged spare battery in your camera bag because they do have a habit of going out just when something important is coming up. I always carry one spare but in this case I will be getting a second spare battery very soon, especially if you are doing any traveling. Speaking of batteries, I would recommend using only the Canon battery for this or any Canon camera. The aftermarket brands may be cheaper but you don't know how the voltage levels in these cheapie batteries will affect the camera, now or later on during the life of the camera. And when you stop and think about it, the Canon battery is truly not that much more expensive when viewed over the entire life of the camera. I hope this info helps you out! it is an awesome camera for the short money Best Buy wanted for it!

Q: Questionare these lenses "kit" lattlesenses? The DSLR bundles that came with multiple lenses were not the same quality as off the shelf lenses. with plastic mounts and wobbles and r
Asked by Donnie.
- A:Answer I'm not sure what you mean. Any canon kit lens I've bought recently was also sold separately. These have nice clear images when I use them and I have enjoyed them immensely. They are plastic housed, but I believe that is to save weight. They do not feel cheap to me at all. Picture quality is brilliant and build quality is solid as well.

Q: QuestionDo you need the extra lense? Looking to use for sports, soccer? Easy to use with additional/zoom lense, heavy? Thanks.
Asked by Luna45.
- A:Answer If you get the camera with two lenses that should work for what your asking. As for weight the telephoto lens add a little but, it's still not to heavy. Depends on which type of lenses they very in weights and not all lenses can auto focus. Make sure you have read the manual. I would suggest that you download it and go through it prior to purchase to make sure it will d I what you want,

Q: QuestionI do a lot of wildlife pictures & a lot of race track pictures. I was curious if the M50 would work well for my hobbies? I use a canon 80D now which works pretty well but I could use one a little faster at focusing both at the track or chasing wildlife!
Asked by Wayne.
- A:Answer Yes. Use the settings it has already for sports and you should get nice photos.
