A: It incorporates a full color scanner. It prints only in grayscale.

Q: How much do the replacement cartridges cost?
A: The standard cartridge (about 3000 printed pages) run $115 to $125. Much less expensive than inkjet printer inks. If you do high volume printing there is a 10,000 page cartridge that costs about $225 to $240.
A: Yes it does print 2 sided.
A: I can't answer the first question with certainty as I have not tried that feature. However, it does have a manual feed tray for a variety of different sized paper. I have used it to hold a stack of envelopes for printing and for legal length paper.
Q: How well does this work with iPad and iphone?
A: Works great. This is AirPrint compatible. You have to be on the same wireless network in order to shake hands.
