Classic Film, Far above average Blu-Ray
Original 1960's version of Cape Fear is far superior to the 90's remake. Filmed in black and white, it looks FANTASTIC on blu-ray. Starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum as the villain. Film is A+, picture quality is a solid A, the only thing lacking on the blu-ray are extra features. It just has a couple of old extras in Standard Definition, and even the TRAILER is in 480i. So clearly all of this was just ported over from an old DVD. However the picture quality of the film itself if marvelous, and well worth it - particularly considering this title is frequently sub $10.

Original B&W Cape Fear is the best!
This is the original "Cape Fear" ... Robert Mitchem is one of the best at playing psycho creepy!

Suspenseful!
This film is enhanced by great writing, amazing performances from Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum, and good pacing. Highly recommended.

A good late-period noir
The main reason to see this film is Robert Mitchum. He turns in one of his finest performances. The blu-ray transfer is very good, too. Recommended.

Cape Fear bluray (1962)
Cape Fear is a very suspenseful movie. Robert Mitchum plays a great bad guy.
