    • Field of View at 1000 yards (Maximum Magnification): 315 feet (The area of a target at minimum zoom, measured horizontally from the location of viewing, that can be observed.)
    • Close Focusing Distance: 27 feet (The closest distance the user can be from an object to obtain a clear, focused view through the lens.)
    • Angular Field Of View (Apparent/degree): 6 degrees (Measurement of the angle of the magnified field seen through the lens. The greater the number, the wider the field of view that can be seen.)

Roof prisms, typically more expensive than the alternative, have a more streamlined design due to their glass elements being in line with one another. Porro prisms, though they contribute to a larger form factor, typically provide a wider field of view than roof prisms.)

Perfect to watch the sun or solar eclipses

Great product, it works as expected, nice optical quality, you can see the sun perfectly, I would say that this is better than a telescope because you can see it with both eyes, and also much easier to carry.

FOR A SOLAR ECLIPSE, and solar eclipse only.

I'm sure these are terrific to have on hand FOR A SOLAR ECLIPSE. They are not regular binoculars. One use only: during an eclipse. Soooooo the next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous United States will be on Aug. 23, 2044. Yay I'll hold onto these $70 gems so my grandchildren can see the corona. Cool I guess. Kinda like toaster tongs. A one trick wonder. Wish someone would have said something. I didn't think binocs would be made for a once-in-a-century event???

    Love ‘em

These are a great white light option for solar viewing. It’s difficult to make out much prominence detail but it is possible with patience and a steady hand. Great value for the price, best used with a rest or pole. Serious solar observers should opt for the next larger version.
