    Plantar Fasciitis Hero

I got this as a hail mary for my plantar fasciitis before throwing in the towel and making a doctor appointment. Let's just say... I haven't had to make the appointment!! At the end of a long day walking and standing, I turn on my show and my foot massager. Thank you, Chirp!!!! (Also, I didn't think the heating feature would be a big deal, but it feels INCREDIBLE.)

Compelling Massager If You Can Accept Its Quirks

I rate this Chirp Sole Vibe 4-stars, but by an inch, not a foot. It’s an enjoyable, useful warmup and recovery tool but the advertised features don’t fully meet my expectations. It has other usability quirks too and this combination hobbles it from being a 5-star product in my mind. Here’s my praises and criticisms with its features and user experience. FEATURES AND “FOOTPRINT” The Sole Vibe is feature packed, but inexplicably, there is no app remote control (or a physical one). For a product that lives on the floor, it’s sorely missed. I’m not old, but youth has passed me, and bending down to turn off a device or change a setting during use is a chore and unwelcomed interruption. All my other powered recovery devices have one so its absence here is huge miss, though not a fatal one. Admirably, the Sole Vibe does strive to be unique and is more talented than traditional foot rollers. This is evident just looking at its top and bottom, each with different textures for dual use. One side has a bulge in the center that Chirp refers to as the “hot stone.” It’s designed to tame tight arches. While it’s called “hot,” it’s more of a lukewarm to my feet. It’s a huge disappointment for me with heating being one of Sole Vibe’s marquee features. I’ve experienced hot stone treatments at spas, and this isn’t close. I feel the heat with my hands but it’s not hot enough to effectively penetrate my feet. I’m doubtful it has any therapeutic value. If the heat doesn’t interest you, no worries. It must be turned on. A button offers a “low” and “high” setting. It takes a couple minutes reach the top temperature and only works on the “hot stone” side. The reverse side has traditional, yet, distinctive, foot massager pebbly pressure prongs. Chirp refers to this area as “acupressure,” but I’m not completely sold. I associate acupressure with “therapeutic,” and this side of the Sole Vibe feels more relaxing than poking of pressure points. Where all the foot massagers I own bulge out in the center, the Sole Vibe is cupped inward. I can’t say this is an improvement, but it’s not ineffective either. The prong lengths vary from very short length at each end and transitions to longer ones in the center. This layout might have an advantage but it’s hard for me to tell because the prongs are not especially stiff and lack that “hurts so good” feeling that tells me I’m targeting my tight arches or stiff heels. The Sole Vibe has an exceptionally gentler feeling than an average foot roller, which some might appreciate. True to its name, I think it relies more on vibration than pressure to revitalize the foot. Both sides of the Sole Vibe’s foot placement area measured about 4” wide. My feet are small for a guy so they have plenty of room. My guess is the Sole Vibe comfortably accommodates all but the widest adult feet. Four fins on the Sole Vibe keep it from rolling 360 degrees since each side is unique. Smartly, these fins double as an ersatz muscle scraper when hand pressing the Sole Vibe to the foot. The fins flex so applying muscle is required to get any feeling more than a tickle. But it works, and you can add in some light vibration too as a bonus. While the arches are an obvious target, I especially like using around my Achilles’ Heel because it’s flexible and gentle. If you want a tamer experience, use the wide edges of the Sole Vibe instead. All the Sole Vibe’s controls are on the side. This includes power, heat for the hot stone, vibration, and pre-set programs. It also has a USB-C port for charging and an LED battery life indicator, which is activated by short pressing the power button. It’s stingy with information though only alerting the user that there is enough battery available for a typical routine or it’s below 20%. A premium device with a non-replaceable battery should have a more precise battery level indicator. Chirp says charge time from empty to full is 6 hours. The button layout is familiar but in use it’s awkward. I find all but the light blue “refresh” program button hard to see except under direct light. While the buttons are backlit, they don’t activate until the Sole Vibe is powered on and vibrating. I don’t find this a great user experience. I wonder why Chirp didn’t program the power button short press that activates the battery life indicator to turn on the button backlights too. This is another “human factors” design flaw to me. MY EXPERIENCE I consider myself active, doing either a 10K brisk walk or 5K run most days. My feet tell me to add in daily life too. I used manual and powered rollers like this to get my feet, ankles, and calves limber for years. To this end, I enjoy Sole Vibe because it’s multi-talented. The “hot stone” bump does fast work tenderizing my arch muscles and tendons, while the “acupressure” prongs relax my heels and sides. I do prefer more aggressive spikes than the Sole Vibe has, but it does the job fine. Surely these tamer prongs will be more comfortable to a wider audience because the stiffer ones do hurt and when used improperly can cause more problems than they solve. While I term the Sole Vibe as a roller, it’s actually a rocker. I find it more natural to use than are roller because it prevents me from overextending my foot. In that vein, I’m confident using it standing up because I know it won’t slip out from under me. By using it this way I can apply more pressure on the prongs to attain the feeling I prefer and think is most beneficial to ready my feet for a productive run or walk. This changes, however, when I add in vibration. Four levels are available, from barely there to overpowering. Level 2-4 are so potent the Sole Vibe jumps around and it feels imprudent to use while standing. These are “sitting only” in my book. For standing though, the lowest setting is an enjoyable combination to hitting the right pressure points. This brings me back of a remote app. No matter what the vibration setting the Sole Vibe shuffles on its own. That’s just physics. But it’s awkward when changing feet since the Sole Vibe wanders without a foot holding it down. It would such a better experience if I could pause the Sole Vibe in app before changing feet. The downside of the rocker is foot movement is limited to about 1/3 of foot. So, if you are used to rolling from arch to back of heel that’s not possible here. I roll my arches then my heels. It does require an extra minute or two but it’s not wildly inconvenient and I think the pros of the rocker beat the cons easy. The “hot stone” bump hits the arch exactly where it should. I use this side sitting down only because I don’t want to apply too much pressure and end up bruising it. Most of the time I just let it sit on the stone in one of the middle vibration settings for a couple minutes and I’m ready to go. In addition to the straight vibration three vibration pattern pre-sets are available by hitting their respective button on device. These are deep release, circulation, and refresh. Line drawings on each button depicts the vibration rhythm. For example, circulation mode looks like an upside down “V” to indicate its accelerating then decelerating vibration. These are nice for a quick massage. I haven’t used them much yet but see myself incorporating them into my recovery routine because they are one button and effective. These modes can be used on either side. In these cases, heat is automatically on for the stone side but can be disabled or increased. Aside from feet, the acupressure side’s cup fits calves and upper thighs well too, at least mine. Although I have a percussion massager for these larger muscle areas sometimes, I apply the Sole Vibe to these areas instead to save time. At the highest vibration level its competent to get these zones flexible if I’m not too tight. BOTTOM LINE I enjoy the Sole Vibe’s features and how they release tension in so many places. While I’m disappointed the heat function isn’t hotter and that it’s awkward to use at times, it’s still a solid tool that accomplishes what it set out to achieve. No matter what your day is like, if your feet hurt I think the Sole Vibe is a good way to wind them down.

It works well,it’s cool but not necessary for me!

So I work out at least 3 days a week and i usually do full body. That always includes cardio at the end of my work outs. I also clean buildings for a living up to 6 days a week for a few hours a day. So like many people I’m on my feet and very active, always have been and hopefully always will be. So when I saw this little chirp heated foot massager I had to give it a shot. I’ve heard good things about this company. I can say with confidence that they build their products very well and with a lot of thought and technology in mind. This foot massager works very well with several different settings and options to suit everyone whether you are an athlete like myself or just a hard working person. You can keep it simple with raising the intensity of the vibration and the heat. Though the heat only works on the stone shape side. Which in my opinion makes sense but I would have loved to have the ability to use it on both. You also have preset buttons that are not simply brute forcing the vibration. The massager can be very strong if you are not used to it so it’s great that they implemented the 3 preset buttons. Your feet will feel better after using it but I found that it can be too much at higher levels. Also the hot part kinda hurts my feel but the heat feels great and does soothe the aches so it’s fine. Also I have sensitive feet if I’m honest lol. I tried to use this on my calve and it is a little awkward imo. Battery life is amazing after using for about 5 days and about an hour or so a day. I think most will like this and find it useful but for me it’s a bit underwhelming and cumbersome to use as well. It’s priced fairly for the top notch build quality and it actually helping sore feet and calves. I would definitely like it more if it was a 2 of these in one and could do both feet and/or calves at the same time.

    Its just ok

I recently had a chance to try the Chirp Sole Vibe Heated Foot Massager. Here is my honest review: The first thing you should do taking it out of the boxes start charging it with its provided USB-C cable, the second thing you should do is read the instructions. You might learn a thing or two. The foot massager itself weighs maybe a couple of pounds and has a textured “acupressure surface” on one side and a “hot stone surface” which heat up, on the other. The whole thing is made up of like a rubber silicone material. This device features different buttons, you have the power button, a heat level button, the USB-C charging port, a vibration level button with four levels of vibrations that get more intense the higher level you go. As well as different program buttons, one is called Refresh, another is called circulation, and the last is called deep release. What all this means is you turn it on you put it underneath your foot and it starts vibrating, some people will like this, the only thing I would change on this device as I wish it had moving parts instead of just vibrations. For example, have like two little balls that move around in circles, giving your foot a massage. But like I said, some people might prefer the vibrations.

Your feet will think they are in Heaven

Unboxing: The Moment I Realized My Feet Deserve Better: Unboxing the Chirp Sole Vibe felt like opening a gift from Future Me — the version of me who’s tired of pretending foot pain is “just part of adulthood.” The box is clean, the Slate finish looks way fancier than I expected, and the whole thing screams, “You’re about to treat your feet like royalty.” It’s heavy enough to feel legit but light enough that you don’t feel like you adopted a small appliance. Plug it in, drop your feet on it, and boom — instant “oh wow” moment. Daily Use: My Feet Are Now Divas: I use this thing every day, and my feet have developed expectations. They now believe they deserve heat, vibration, and attention. Honestly, same. After Work: I come home, kick off my shoes, and let the Sole Vibe do its thing. The heat warms up slowly like it’s trying to flirt, and the vibration hits that sweet spot between “spa day” and “my feet are melting into the floor.” It’s the kind of relief that makes you rethink every cheap foot massager you’ve ever bought. During Work (Remote) I’ve used it under my desk, and it’s quiet enough that no one suspects I’m basically getting a foot massage while answering emails. Productivity? Questionable. Comfort? Off the charts. Gaming Sessions: Nothing says “peak luxury” like dropping enemies in a game while your feet are getting pampered. It’s ridiculous. It’s amazing. I regret nothing. Before Bed Five minutes on the heat setting before bed feels like a warm hug for your feet. It’s become part of my nightly routine, right between brushing my teeth and pretending I’ll go to bed early. Build Quality: Surprisingly Fancy for Something You Step On: Slate finish looks sleek and modern. Textured pads feel great even with socks. Doesn’t slide around like it’s trying to escape Controls are simple enough that you can operate them half‑asleep. It’s durable, easy to clean, and doesn’t look like medical equipment — A huge win. Pros & Cons (with personality) Pros: Heat + vibration = instant foot happiness Quiet enough for stealth desk massages Multiple intensity levels for “ahh” to “whoa” Looks good in any room Makes you feel like you’re living a slightly fancier life Cons: Heat takes a minute to warm up. No remote — you have to bend down. Big feet might feel like they’re squeezing into economy seating. Verdict: The Chirp Sole Vibe is one of those purchases you justify by saying, “I work hard, I deserve this,” and then immediately realize you were absolutely right. It’s simple, effective, and way more relaxing than it has any right to be. If your feet are tired, sore, or just dramatic, this thing delivers. It’s the kind of product you try once and instantly think, “Okay, this is staying plugged in forever.”
