Firm grip but a little short on battery life.

The mouse is solidly built. It's a little heavy but that actually helps with steady aim in a FPS title. The mouse supports 2000 Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless mode, it reduced input lag and is an advantage you should take over other players. The side panel on the left and interchangeable panel on the right allows you to rest your thumb, pinky and ring fingers on it instead of scratching on the mousepad as you aim, it reduces friction and allows you to have better grip on the mouse. It's a nice touch every mouse manufacturers should learn from. The battery life is a little short with RGB lighting in wireless mode. It lasts about 10 hours to 12 hours before the low battery warning pops up. So you should have the cable handy and charge the mouse during breaks.

    For Gamers with Larger Hands

You can read my first impressions here on the PC Gamer Forums! https://forums.pcgamer.com/threads/corsair-dark-core-rgb-pro-first-impressions.3360/ And you can read their professional review, technical specifications and all, here! https://www.pcgamer.com/corsair-dark-core-rgb-pro-se-wireless-gaming-mouse-review/ CORSAIR is a brand I stand by. Ask my 10+ year old power supply. I own numerous CORSAIR products and they all serve my gaming needs remarkably well. The older design of this model was something that interested me, but didn't really fully intrigue my purchase. This model (the non Qi-Charging one) is more refined and really hits the mark. My favorite feature of the mouse is the light strip adjacent to the thumb buttons. The lighting is very customizable using the iCUE software, and looks great with a CORSAIR keyboard beside it. It takes some effort to tweak everything out, but it isn't difficult by any means. The construction is solid, styling isn't too aggressive or understated, and the weight is just right for me. The two interchangeable grips are a welcome nod to nomenclature. It performs brilliantly in games and I believe my accuracy and precision has gone up a tick because of that. I didn't purchase the Qi-charging SE model, because I'd like to wait for CORSAIR to develop something akin to Logitech's or Razer's wireless charging technology where the entire mousepad can be utilized for charging. Perhaps in the next year or two. This mouse will probably last a lifetime but I can see it becoming an excellent portable device. That, however, is my only dink. CORSAIR should have prioritized developing such tech to release a new mousepad that would coincide with a flagship product... instead, we're kind of getting more of the same. BUT, for me, this is an upgrade, not a replacement, so new tech in my hands makes up for the lack of "future-proofing." My previous mouse was a Logitech G700, which got many, many hours of use, mostly wired. At the MSRP, you are getting excellent value. I had been eyeing the ROG Spartha ahead of this mouse's release, which is almost twice the cost. Before that I had seen the Dark Core and thought, "Hmm, if they just tweak the RGB and that weird side button panel, I'm sold." Well CORSAIR read my mind, then BEST BUY had a sale! Cheers!

    Good mouse, but

Good mouse, but you have to get used to it. Even though it looks comfortable in a real world it is not as good as it looks like. And here is why. Biggest problem of this mouse is a right button. it is so soft and easy to click so you simply cannot rest your middle finger on a button because you will make accidental click everytime you even move mouse. Lift your mouse just a little and drop it, you will get right click! But the rest are good. Mouse is light enough to be used even in fast games. RGB lights are beautiful as every RGB thing from Corsair. Click latency is very low, around 7ms. So, it is almost perfect mouse. Hope in next iteration Corsair will do something with right button. I have 10 days to play with the mouse. If it will be hard for me to get used to it., I will return it
